Vehicle Detail
For Sale - 2000 Ford Taurus SES Flex Fuel. I am just going to list the good & the bad : The Good: The car starts and runs every time, shifts smooth, clean interior, minimal rust, heat is great, rear suspension is fairly new, clear title in hand, dependable. The Bad: (i am being as detailed as possible here) The engine runs fine however it does have white smoke when it starts which is likely antifreeze in the engine. I just had the metal coolant hose that runs behind the motor replaced (not cheap). I would have tried to fix this myself but i basically got a different car for next to nothing out of the blue so i am just selling this one. This is the cars main issue. Next on the list would be the front end: it needs ball joints (you can hear them clicking when you turn) however they have been like that for a long time and is driveable. The shocks/struts also need to be replaced. The gas gauge does not work and hasn't since before i bought it. The windshield is cracked in the lower drivers side corner (see photos). The pass side front fender has a dent (someone backed into it at the mall and drove away). The drivers side rear fender has some very light damage - the car tapped a cement wall during a snow storm which took some of the factory bondo off & put some scrapes on the car. I made a half-ass attempt at redoing the bondo (see photos). You can tell how light the car hit because you can see the scraped but not damaged tail light & bumper. Has some rust around the rear drivers side wheel & on the rockers under both rear doors (see photos). I have some matching spray paint (comes with car) that i used to touch up the car now and then to keep it looking as good as possible. Missing the pass side rear door trim - just flew off unexpectedly on the highway one day. I believe the AC works a little but needs to be charged - i haven't used it in a while. The rear drivers side seat belt locked up about 3 weeks ago - probably fixable? One of the rear doors (pass side?) doesn't lock - never has. Needs an oil change - full tune up would be a good idea. I believe i got everything here. Bottom line - I drove this car as my primary for 5 years but i recently started working 8 miles away from home so it only has about 3500 miles on it over the last two years. This car has never broke down, starts every time, gets you wherever you need to be, and it is roomy/comfortable. With a little work this will be a great car for a long time. I have seen a lot of junk cars out there for over 2K so i have priced the car to reflect the issues (Kelly Blue Book Value is $2293.00 in Good condition, $1743.00 in Fair). I also have a car fax report that i printed a couple of weeks ago that i can email you. Make me a serious offer and the car is yours - come see it/drive it. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end early.
