You are bidding on a beautiful Red 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider. I purchased this car from a Florida dealer about 4 years ago. The car was already beautiful when I got it, but I wanted to improve on her look to make it showroom quality. However, never got around working on the car – have too many other projects – and now due to financial problems I hope to find her a new home. Body The body is in very good condition. The red paint, although not 100% show perfect, is super shiny and gorgeous. Most of the chrome is also in great shape, all buffed out! The floor panels on both the driver and passenger side are solid. The only possible rust spot I have seen is the passenger-side front jack-post area, where I can see a small hole on the cross member and the jack-post is bent. All the other jack-posts are all intact, nice and solid. The trunk floors as well as all the lids, doors, hood are all solid, no sign of any rust. If you know these cars, you know how difficult it is to come across one that is not rusted through. The soft top is black, cloth, with the plastic rear window nice and intact. No cracks or tears on the window. Since the car has always garaged and it is almost always sunny here in Arizona, I only put the top up for the first time for the photos. All the tires are in great shape, very little use on them. All the hubcaps are period correct, they have a beautiful shine. All the head lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc are in good working order. Interior Both driver and passenger side seats are in great condition. No tears or discolorations on either, and they have the period correct red piping. The dash has no cracks, as far as I remember – and I can double check this – all the instruments are in good working order. The radio is not wired up, so I cannot tell if it works. Honestly, the car sounds outstanding when you drive it . . . I like to listen to the engine instead of the radio. The side view mirrors are pretty cool racing style mirrors – not the small kind that originally came with the car. I think they add a great sportish look to the little Alfa. It also comes with – what appears to be an original Italian – fire extinguisher inside the car (next to the spare tire). Never seen that before, but looks really authentic. The spare is a full size tire, in great condition. Engine and Transmission The engine is a correct 1600cc, four cylinder, double overhead cam Alfa Engine. She starts up every time without hesitation, she runs like a champ! To protect these older engines, I always let the car warm up with the choke to allow all the parts to get lubed up. I was ensured by the previous owner – who was a licensed dealer – that the mileage is original. The title also indicates this. The car really sounds great on the open road . . . she is a real head turner. The engine bay is really nice and clean, all the hose are in great shape. The transmission shifts well, never ran into any problems, the synchros are working good! I cannot emphasize how much fun it is to drive this car . . . she really runs and sounds great! Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist on my end the make the transaction as smooth as possible. A $500 PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the close of the auction, and the remaining balance is due either as cash or a bank wire transfer (this is the safest method for both you and me). I make every attempt to describe the car as best as I can, but please ask questions if you think I left something out.
