Vehicle Detail

I've been a Fox Body Mustang enthusiast since I was a child. I've owned many of them over the years, some of them the nicest in the country. This is basically a "barn find" as I found this car sitting in a garage where it had been untouched for over 4 years. It's a 1992 Ford Mustang LX Feature Car. These were built in limited numbers to use as special marketing for Mustangs. I understand that these cars were given away in contests and other promotions to help slowing sales of Mustangs. I've owned a few of these and this is by far and away the nicest, most original one. It's a two owner car. No accidents, 100% rust free, and 99% original. The mileage is 54474 and is documented original mileage. Here is a link to a video presentation of the car including a test drive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpeT2T-9Ah8 Here is a video showing the buck tag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPQN2C62Ni0 I took it to my shop and did a complete Motorcraft tune, cleaned the gas tank and installed a new fuel pump, flushed all of the fluids and changed all of the filters. It fired right up and runs like a top. The entire paint job was wet sanded and buffed. It has brand new TMI correct leather interior that's actually much nicer than the original. It also has new plush floor mats. A couple of days of cleaning and it looks fantastic. I will walk around the car and describe it as I see it. Exterior All original paint except for the trunk lid, rear bumper and spoiler. The original spoiler was long gone, I was unable to locate the exact replacement so I ordered a Cervini's spoiler that allows for use of the original high mount stop light. It looks much better than the original spoiler. The paint was custom matched and only the trunk lid, spoiler and rear bumper were repainted. It looks came out very nice. All of the rest of the paint was touched up in a few areas and looks very nice for the year of the car. All of the lights are original and work perfectly. The top is original and has a few flaws but doesn't leak. It has a brand new top boot. The glass is nice and the original pearl white pony wheels are near flawless. It's a great looking car and almost everyone comments on how nice it is. Interior The interior is as close to perfect as it can be. It has new correct leather upholstery, the carpet and door panels are mint. I restored the map pockets, no more sag. The ashtray door works perfect. All of the controls and power accessories work smoothly. There is just a few scratches on the leather steering wheel at 11-1 o'clock positions. There is also a tiny melted area on the shift indicator bezel. Has brand new correct floor mats. The dash is perfect. Mechanical As of this listing, I have a brand new compressor, dryer that I have to install. I also have a brand new set of tires that will be installed by the auctions end. The AC will be converted to R-134A professionally. The transmission was rebuilt about 4 years ago, I have a receipt for the work. It shifts perfectly. The brakes work great, no weird noises, pulls or pulsations of any kind. In fact, I'm not always thrilled about automatic cars, but this one is the best driving one I've ever been in. All fluids have been replaced along with the fuel pump, plugs, cap and rotor. Overall All VIN tags are in place. No rust or accidents of any kind. Everything works (or will by the end of auction). It's a very nice collector quality car. I have the original owners manual and one set of original keys. The only aftermarket item it has is a cold air intake kit. Otherwise it's bone stock mechanically all the way down to the exhaust. I have the original airbox and distributor boot that comes wtih the car. Here is an exact list of "flaws" that I see The tachometer is stuck and shows 3200 at idle. This is a very common problem especially in 92 Mustangs. I will try to fix it by the end of the auction. The Air Bag light flashes a code "52" which is commonly when these cars are stored for a long period of time with a dead battery. This code should reset itself after 256 key cycles. The top has a couple of flaws. It has normal wear and tear on the paint that is normal for mileage and age It could use shocks and struts but not immediately This car is in way above average condition for a non restored fox body. I can help with shipping arrangements, please see the video and ask any questions that you may have. I can be reached directly at 941-720-0300. Jason I will do a video update to show new tires and compressor when complete. happy bidding!
