This car has been in our family since 1997 with at least one owner prior to then.In 2001-19,500 mi.ago I had the engine and transmission rebuilt by JTS Motorsports due to several broken cylinder head studs which is apparently common in these cars as the studs are on the outside of the engine exposed to the elements.JTS specializes in Porsches only and is a reputable firm.This car has the recommended upgrades including cam tensioners and pop-off valve.The heat-exchangers have been upgraded to SSI's(stainless steel) but I do have the original exaust system.The CV halfshafts and front wheel bearings were replaced at the time of engine rebuild. All oil lines have been replaced as well as the starter.The body has had paint work and does have some chips ane small scratches but from 20 ft. away looks fine.The windshield has been replaced recently when it cracked during a seal replacement.The interior is original and needs the door pockets replaced due to sagging.There is a seam separation in the drivers seat about 6 in. long.The Targa top has been recovered within the last several years.I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive across the US as it sits.This car was a labor of love but my priorities have changed.On Apr-07-12 at 11:31:23 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention that the transmission was rebuilt and clutch replaced at engine rebuild.I have very detailed records of the engine/transmission rebuild which includes all parts and machine work.
