Vehicle Detail

Im relisting this 70 Fairlane due to a deal falling through that had me holding the car all winter for a buyer. So here is your chance to buy this vehicle. I will start by saying the car is a nice condition, driver quality car, that will look great at any car show you attend with it. It is in great running and driving condition, need a couple very minor odds and ends to make it perfect. I will start with a little history on the car. In 2001 a fabrication/car building shop did a partial resto and setup the car with the blower, including new grabber blue paint, white vinyl top, new door panels, seat upholstry and made the cosmetic changes to resemble a torino cobra. I bought it from a relative who has owned the car since the shop sold it to him in 2002. He had put less than 500 miles on the car before the engine started smoking and it mainly sat in his temperature controlled garage the last 9 years. I bought it last spring and decided to go through the whole car and get it running and driving again, now its ready for someone looking for a new toy to enjoy this summer. Here is a list of what this car consists of: 1970 302 motor, freshly rebuilt with around 700 miles of break in so far. Runs excellent, no leaks, very clean motor. Stock 302 rebuild except for a BDS Isky blower cam, BDS harmonic balancer and pete jackson gear drive. Has a set of Holman moody cast valve covers with crankcase evac breathers. Holman Moody deep sump Nascar type oil pan. New pair of holley 600 cfm mechanical cfm carbs atop a BDS 6-71 blower. Mallory unilite electronic billet distributor with MSD street fire plug wires. 1976 C-4 transmission with new input and output shaft seals. works and shifts great. Has a BDS PDV valve hooked up to it, works off of boost to give you firmer shifts. 9" ford rearend with 3.70 gear(non posi) I have achieved 13-15 mpg with this car at 55mph, during a 80 mile round trip to my work. Has new rear brakes, new gear oil, new leafspring u bolts, new rubber rear brake hose , new rear shocks as well has Holman moody traction bars. Harwood 10 gallon fuel cell with sending unit, new chrome canister fuel filter, new holley red electric fuel pump. Has autometer monster tach mounted to hood, with water temp, oil pressure, boost, and fuel pressure gauges. New Jegs street star wheels with BF Goodrich tires New battery New dual exhaust with turbo mufflers fully mig welded with cobra chrome tips new master cylinder and new voltage regulator Inside the car is very good. All the factory instruments in dash excpect the temp gauge work well, heater and AC controls are there and seem to work fine, although neither are hooked up from inside engine bay, but everything underdash is there if you wanted to hook it up. has a fm radio/tape deck hooked up to new 6x9 speakers in rear deck. Headliner door panels seat upholstry are in great shape, dash pad has a small crack but overall in great shape. Carpet is in need of replacing, which is also not the correct shade of blue for the rest of the interior. also I know a couple window handle knobs are mismatched, but just very minor stuff. The only things the car will need that I do know of, the trans drips a slight amount of fluid off the gear selector shaft after it sits a while. I know this is very common with C4 trans and is easily fixable. I have a complete seal kit still in the package that you can have with the car. I havent had time to mess with it. Like I said it does need carpet and a couple window crank knobs. Overall it is a very nice car that is a blast to drive. It get comments, looks and thumbs up pretty much anywhere you go. I WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRADES SO PLEASE DONT ASK.. I WILL ONLY ACCEPT CASH IN PERSON, PAYPAL, OR CASHIERS CHECK WILL REQUIRE TIME TO CLEAR THE BANK BEFORE THE CAR CAN LEAVE. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS BECAUSE IM SURE I HAVE FORGOT SOME STUFF, OR CALL ME DIRECTLY AFTER 4PM US CENTRAL TIME AT 309-338-2388. WILL SHIP CAR WITHIN CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES BUT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF THE COST AND SETTING IT UP . I CAN HELP CARRIER LOAD IT. On Mar-28-12 at 19:33:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a couple questions reguarding any rust issues with the car. I would say this car is 99.9% rust free, appears to be all original sheet metal. As far as I can tell there are no repair panels that have been welded in. The only spot I could find on the car was a small spot maybe 1" long on the very bottom of the pass. side 1/4 panel. I have had some interest in seeing a video of the car, so I made a short video of it running. it sounds funny being recorded on a cell phone, but you can get the idea and some better detail not shown in pics. I also took a shot of the rust spot I was referring to. It can only be seen from underneath the car looking up at it. the video can be seen at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKcZPN1QqKE&feature=youtu.be
