1981 Volvo 240 DL Two Door CoupeThis car is in excellent shape. It is mechanically sound, has less than 158,000 miles, body has rust at the front of the hood and rear wheel wells that needs attention. Underbody molding beneath the driver side door is missing. The car is cream with a blue interior. The hood paint is apparently off-match, and the hood may have been replaced, but there is no visible body work behind or under. The interior is fine with some of the interior plastic molding detached, but intact and on hand. The car has two radios because I added one with CD player. I have misplaced the front of the upper radio, but I have it and I will find it and provide it. The wheels are exceptional, of 1983 vintage I am told. It has a very recent new clutch and exhaust. It has a manual transmission with electric overdrive. The 2-door coupe is hard to find, if not rare, and the car would require very little restoration to be truly fine.On Apr-07-12 at 10:25:09 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 1. This vehicle has functional air conditioning and it blows cold. 2. In addition to the following, I have performed regular maintenance on the vehicle. 3. Shortly after I acquired this vehicle in Fall of 2007, I replaced the following-- Clutch In or about 2008, I replaced the following-- Windshield Carrier bearing U-joints Warm-up regulator Alternator Front brake pads and rotors Tie rod ends The forgoing repairs cost approximately $2,500. Further, I stopped driving the vehicle regularly sometime in Spring of 2009. So, all of the foregoing items have less than 10,000 miles of wear. (I have been told that this vehicle would interest a Volvo enthusiast because it is a two door vehicle--coup. So, I held on to it hoping to sell it to an enthusiast, but I've decided it has go to make room for other things.) On Apr-07-12 at 12:58:46 PDT, seller added the following information: SECOND UPDATE Additionally, in the Fall of 2010, I replaced the exhaust header on the vehicle.
