Vehicle Detail
Just in time for cruising weather, here is your chance to get into a bitchin custom car, without laying out a ton of money. I have owned this car for about a year or so, tinkering with it here and there. Pretty much every modification that can be done is done. 4" or so chop, glass all installed. Frenched 54 Mercury headlights, frenched stock tail light lenses, and frenched in 1947 Olds grill. The door handles have been shaved, as has all the side trim and trim everywhere on the body. The rear quarter panel seams have been removed and filled. The hood corners have been rounded, just the right amount. The rain gutter was shaved, and it appears to have round rod welded in it's place. It's a neat old trick, and looks smooth. The chop is just the right amount, not too much, but not too little. The rear window was placed in well, and the roof has great flow. There is no rust on the car, but by that I mean there is no visible rust holes. This car was redone probably a few times, and most likely has a bunch of bodyfiller in it, so although there is no visible rust, I did not build it, and can't honestly vouch for what's under the paint. Held up a long time though I suppose! Moving on to the inside....The interior is a black and red 1967 Mustang setup, the front seats are great because they are low, which leaves tons of head room (I am 6'5" tall and have plenty of room) and has a matching back seat, but the back seat fits OK at best. Lots of new parts installed, new wiring harness (Painless) and all new brakes. The car is 12v, and under the hood is a Chevy 350/TH350 mated to a stock rear. The exhaust is functional but only currently runs about halfway back. There is the remnants of an old system in there and you can probably connect the two, that was my plan. The steering and brakes work extremely well (with swinging modern type brake pedal), and the chassis is extremely clean up front, but from around the front seat area back the very bottom of the frame rails are soft. Very common with these cars. Gas tank was just cleaned out and the fuel going through the filter looks pretty good. The carb is a little funky, but I will look into that. The car runs really well when it wants to, stumbles at idle when it wants to, but as I said, I am pretty sure the carb got some dirt in it. I have never registered this, but have driven it around my property and neighbors property, and it runs and drives pretty well. It drives like a very old very lowered car, so please don't expect a brand new car ride. Now, the money. I have this car listed locally but I am going for all here and listing it for $500 with no reserve. I need to move this car down the road and get on to other cars, so within 7 days from now someone will own this car. For any more info you can email me or call/text me at 908.884.7120. On Apr-05-12 at 03:27:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add when I added the video yesterday, I went through the carb and cleaned it out, it was gummed up from the old gas tank, and now the car starts/runs/drives pretty smooth. The video was last night around 6 pm. Thanks!
