1963 48 years old! Some mild custom. Vehicle identification does match title(stamped number under back seat; data plate at spare tire location). NEW: all glass seals & glass, dropped front spindles (3/25; old ones come with it), interior, carpet, steering wheel(custom), tires, floor pans, most brake parts, shift lever bushing & shift rod coupling(3/25), trunk carpet, trunk wire shield, gas gauge(not hooked up), some ragtop parts(needs handle), chrome door sills/kick plates(custom?), trunk latch/cable, interior handles, chrome exhaust header, & valve tubes. Might be more, but will have to add as I remember. Needs: bumpers (painted now). I have nice condition chromed bumper guards. The ragtop release & sliding works very smooth(has new chrome handle-not shown in picture/installed since/picture available). There are no leaks. Always garaged by two previous owners. The interior is vintage look/feel and funtional(seats pivot forward correctly, etc.). Two pictures of the front floor are one without new carpet to show rust free new floors and one with the new carpet placed back in place. Carpets are not glued in. The emergency brake works. No rust to speak of, or was taken care of when restored/intalled new floors. The doors are excellent with no pinholes at bottoms or skins. No paint bubbling. Trunk and areas are clean rust free. Some minor paint peel at engine air venting grill. Over-all, you won't have to make excuses unless you hang with the show quality perfectionists. Roll-up and vent windows work flawlessly. Most lights work. Driver headlight is out and right rear directional doesn't blink. Wiper motor works; have both wiper arms/blades but the passenger side needs the small round spline that arm pushes onto. Runs beautiful, strong, and even the little one carb kicks enough for enjoyment of VW cruising. Clutch and trans premo. I put the old shifter back on replacing the Empi (Empi comes with parts). Less trouble finding gears and reverse. See parts picture(note sunvisors; may get around to putting them in). I'm trying to adapt the horn looking thing in parts picture as a shift handle. All in all, a very nice dependable classic VW. Can drive home.
