Vehicle Detail
Bought this truck last fall from a local mid-70s Ford pickup restoration shop - Joe's Trucks just outside Portland, Oregon. Thought I'd be keeping it for my own but now have other projects which need the garage space it occupies. I've driven it about once a month since purchasing and really enjoy taking it out for weekend cruises. It isn't a trailer queen but is a previous local show winner and I have the trophy which came with it when I purchased it from Joe's. Goes down the road straight, turns great with power steering and the 3-speed cruise-o-matic has tons of power when you get on the gas. The exterior is holding up nice for this older restoration. Both the orange and white are bright and really look nice together. The Luverne rear bumper looks new and the front bumper really shines as well and the exhaust has chrome tips which add a nice touch on the back end. Nice Ultra wheels are holding Kona CLT LT265/75R16 tires which appear to only have a few thousand miles on them. A full size spare comes with the truck mounted on what appears to be an original-vintage wheel. The bed has an aftermarket spray or roll on black bedliner. It seems to be holding up well, though there are a few nicks or scrapes by cargo that must have been in the bed at some point since the liner was applied. As shown in the pictures, there is a cargo box just ahead of the rear wheel on the passenger side. The interior is in real good shape - the carpet, seat upholstery, dash and paint will impress from afar and up close. This truck still has the high/low beam on the floor, which is pretty cool. Also controlled from the interior is the auxiliary fuel tank, which I believe was installed at the factory. The rear window is a sliding glass window, which really helps ventilate the cab on warm days. The engine appears to be in good shape, with chrome Edelbrock valve covers and a chrome air filter cover added for improved appearance. The restoration seems to have include a fair amount of black paint sprayed within the engine bay. Don't believe its original but it does make for a cleaner look. The truck was advertised as a 390 when I bought it from Joe's Trucks and comes with the 390 badges on the exterior and I have no reason to believe that it is not as advertised. Mileage is reported as the odometer currently appears on the truck but it may actually be 132,633. Happy to answer any questions. Truck is available for inspection and test drive - you will not be disappointed!
