Vehicle Detail

Health issues force sale. I was told that a previous owner purchased the car 1987. He installed new metal front fenders, outer sills and rear half fenders from the beltline down then had the car painted. I have a garage inspection receipt at 61973 miles found under the seat and the title shows 63,700 miles when I bought it. At least he got to drive it. The head gasket blew, he removed the head and the car sat in his garage for the next 20 years until it passed through a number of well intentioned hands and I purchased it in early 2008. OK, the first question is always sills and floorboards. The left sill has a really sloppy patch (see photo). I didn't do that so don't blame me! It's the castle rail between the front and the jacking point. I'd planned on doing a proper repair in this area but I never had a problem with the door gap then my health interferred. Other than that the boot, sills and floorboards are solid. The right castle rail and boot are pictured. I've done way too much work on this car to list here. Contact me and I'll send you the list, the good and the bad and any additional photos you require. This B is a beauty and I'll hate to see it go. But I've only managed a few hundred miles on the car and it deserves to be driven and enjoyed. Please apply the usual caveats... sold as is where is, buyer pays all shipping and don't bid if you don't want the car. I will ship overseas but all payments must clear and the buyer must make ALL the arrangements. On Apr-02-12 at 04:48:57 PDT, seller added the following information:Due to requests here's the list... but I still recommend contacting me for the long description. Since I have owned the car I have done the following. Installed a new battery. Installed 5 new Sumitomo tires. Lowered the car over 1 inch Installed a chrome bumper conversion Installed a used 5/8” sway bar and coolant expansion tank Installed a British Heritage gas tank’ Installed a new SU fuel pump and fuel line Replaced all bushings with polyurethane Installed new tie rod ends Installed a new brake master cylinder. Rebuilt the front brake calipers with new pads and flex lines. Installed new rear brake cylinders with new shoes and flex line. Replaced all the brake pipes. Installed new emergency brake cables. Installed new rear axle oil seals and pinion seal. Installed new universal joints. Installed a new clutch plate, throw out bearing and slave cylinder Rebuilt the clutch master cylinder Installed new front wheel bearings and races. Installed a voltmeter. Installed a Clarion CD radio with 4 speaker system mounted in the doors. Replaced the door cards and interior panels (see photos) Installed a new Prestige Auto carpet set over new insulating/deadening material Installed a Weber 38/37 “Outlaw” synchronous downdraft electric choke carburetor I stripped the entire body to bare metal, epoxy primed it, gave it 4 coats of primer, topped it with bronze metallic paint then color sanded it.
