Drives, run's better than new. This was my 3rd Ramcharger (WHY you might ask? 1. Tight turning radius- think backing trailers. 2. Excellent fresh air ventilation w/Vent windows, roof vent, and under dash direct vent. 3. High ground clearance. 4. SAFE-steel bumpers, steel frame. 5. Parts are cheap. 6. NO computer to ever go bad. 7. No transmission "hump" in back seat. 8. Incredible views and visibility with those huge windows. 9. Square cargo bay, w/no stupid "lips" -easy load. 10. KISS keep it simple stupid) so I certainly knew what to look for when I purchased this one from her 2nd owner (his dad the original, and I met him too) in Seattle back in 2002, She was 100% rust free, well maintained, ran great, looked good, and would (and did) make perfect candidate for what you see today.. All work was done professionally (with receipts by Allstar Motors and Advantage Body in N. Miami- come see the machines they build) without regard to expense.. Adult owned since new. Never damaged (not even a minor fender bender, no scratches), NEVER smoked in, and rarely off the road. NO kids, NO pets. Super clean machine! Easy to see in N. iami (East of the Blvd). N 2003 at 97k original miles I began the following; WITH RECEIPTS. All numbers match. Body had all glass removed (new rubber when re-installed) all side, rear, front molding, trim removed, filled, faired, and re-painted same color, rear bumper re-chromed. 2003 (rear door filled, and made electric in 06) 360 CI Engine removed, totally rebuilt to include Federal Mogul (Speed Pro) Hyper Flat Top Pistons, Hasting moly ring set, Cloyes HP timing set (chain and sprockets), Comp Cams Roller Camshaft (450 intake/450 exhaust, Clevite cam bearings, Melling M72 oil pump, MSD ignition, ceramic headers, 2005- In 2009 I had the original fuel injection system removed, and replaced with Edlebrock Manifold and Edlebrock 4 barrel Carburetor ($3,000.) as it was pointless having the all the high performance gear below if the fuel if original factory fuel system above was limited by the factory computer, which was also removed. Engine bay was painted at same time. Front axle and 4 wheel drive transfer case rebuilt with new seals, and U-joints. Factory electronic lock out hubs were replaced with manual, but factory electric still works if desired Complete new AC system (2008) evaporator, condensor, Compressor, all hoses and switches. Cold-of course. New Radiator and transmission cooler, new fan clutch, ALL new hoses (2009) All brakes redone, including lines, and hoses (2008) New master cylinder (2012) Steering box NEW in 2009 as is connector (2009) Front end rebuilt, all new rubber, King pins, etc.(2009) Rear axle has new seals on ends and shaft (2009) Air shocks (2004) w/air fill on trailer hitch base New rear helper springs - for nice stance. I've carried 12.5kw diesel gen, all the tile and marble for my condo in her bay. She sits right even when towing a boat. Windshield washer motor, New wipers (2012) All new belts & hoses in engine bay (2011) New Headliner, Factory NOS carpeting. Other than this the interior is exactly as it was when I purchased her in 02, which is fine with me. Power Drivers seat (folds forward) passenger seat tilts and folds. Rear seat folds forward for large flat cargo bay Five (5) NEW Hankook Tires (2011) Spare rim and tire, never on ground. Blaupunkt CD stereo, w/4 speakers. Nothing wild, just normal Extra factory style lights for rear seats and cargo hold area (not enough light in original designs) Strong Beam headlights, new taillight assemblies (originals fade) Factory wire Antenna removed, replaced with internal window unit -for smoother look, and no car wash issues.(2011) Full cover and garaged since 2002 Original tools and jack in their proper place (note photos) EVERYTHING WORKS as it's supposed to. No excuses, doesn't need anything. Synthetic oil only since rebuild. She's fast, a total torque monster, corners like it's on rails. Much fun to drive, and very safe with those big steel bumpers which is why I purchased another Ramcharger for my son when he turned 17. I can't imagine a newer better running and looking 4x4 out there. She get's thumbs ups, and shout outs from all kinds of people from "da hood" to the Rodeo. This truck makes people happy to see her. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck anywhere at anytime on a moments notice. In fact I'll drive it to you anywhere for just for fuel and a plane ticket home. Negative: I just discovered a small rust bubble behind the left rear wheel well, so can no longer say 100% rust free. I call this a very nice unique driver (or worker!) She's for sale. Don't be shy. Although appraised and insured by Allstate for $23k, I'm going to cut her loose. I have too many other cars and I've sold the matching Cigarette Boat I used this to tow.
