1968 Ford Fairlane 500. 4-door. Hardtop. 289 V-8. 52,300 (actual) original miles. Daily driver. Have clear title plus all original booklets, pamphlets, and dealer paperwork. Cool little Ford booklets and offers. New: Master cyl. 4 new slave cylinders, brake shoes and hardware, U-Joints, new battery, alternator, rebuilt carb and 4 new shocks. New 15" radial studded Cooper snowtires. The automobile is as assembled- same engine, tranny, axles... everything original "survivor". I put 2 (1996) bucket seats in it for safety reasons... it has all the original seatbelts. You will receive the original little front bench seat and it didn't feature any whiplash prevention. Starts easily at -10 degrees. Runs very smooth and clean. Does not smoke, drip or leak... anywhere. 22mpg average (mountain driving) 26 on the flats. Ready for paint and upholstery. Drives great and has very scant rust. The primer colors are the beautiful Ford primer patina! The official color (Kansas City assembly) was called 'Gulfstream Aqua'. All the glass is original and there are no chips or cracks in any windows. The interior is rough and ready...ready for restoral.
