Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a nice Black BMW 7 Series - 745Li. This vehicle has the longer backseat which includes the foot rests (very nice). I purchased this vehicle in 2010 from a used car dealer - he bought it at auction. I drove it minimally. The miles are a little below the average at 110,477. Interior Condition: This vehicle is in pretty good condition, it is between average and clean in my opinion. It doesn't really need any reconditioning, no stains on the carpet, seats are mostly in good condition -- there has been a repair done to the front passenger seat on the back part towards the crease of the seat - looks like it was a small hole - it stayed patched quite well with passengers in and out as it is low enough that there isn't a lot of wear - please see pictures -- I won't say it isn't noticeable, but it isn't bad either (i.e. no foam is hanging out, etc.) Other than that nothing else major to the interior; few scuffs on the leather seats in back but nothing torn or a problem. There are however some mechanical issues. Mechanical Condition: The front vent blower on the driver's side is not working. The defrost vent works but doesn't shut off when the mode is changed but it will turn off with the fan speed, but the air coming out doesn't get cold. The passenger side works just fine so there is no problem with the air conditioning something with the vent motor maybe - if I had to say, I think maybe there could be a wire touching since it is kind of weird??? But I haven't gotten it diagnosed so I am guessing. The windshield wiper motor assembly needs to be replaced - the windshield wipers do not work on this vehicle. I did have this diagnosed and I have been quoted anywhere from 700 - 1200 to fix so I have lowered the starting bid to accommodate. The CD Changer will not eject - this is a common problem among these BMW's as this is my third 7 series and they all have had this problem. The changer can be fixed or replaced successfully - the price varies depending on who you take it to. Lastly, the brakes will need to be replaced very soon - I am getting the notice they have reached their limit. I have kept up with the maintenance on this vehicle with regular oil changes / filters by certified BMW shop plus changed out the spark plugs in 2/2011 and a couple minor clamp recalls were fixed. Exterior Condition: There are no dents on the exterior that I can see. There are some minor chips that have been touched up with paint along the passenger side... you can kind of see them in the pictures - I will upload more pictures on a cloudy day and find an area where there isn't yellow pollen on the ground (very difficult this time of year in GA, however). There are also a few chips on the front hood of the car from road wear, these have not been touched up and show little white specs. There are hardly any issues on the drivers side of the vehicle - one or two minor chips. On the back passenger side bumper there are white scuff marks - you can see in the picture -- I would bet these buff out, but not sure. I checked the vehicle pretty good and I never felt any prior paint repairs or any evidence of frame damage plus the title is clear. The back right side passenger door hinge has some trouble staying open in the the "wide" position - will stay in the first open position just fine though. Tires are in good condition, I believe they were new when I bought it in 12/2010 and have put a little over 10,000 miles on the vehicle since then. Extras: The vehicle has those nice "soft/self close" doors - when you shut them lightly they close tight automatically - very cool feature - one of my favorites. The trunk has the auto close button as well so there is no manual effort needed - great when you have groceries in your arms. The backseat has the foot rests plus they have the automatic sun shades for the windows so your passengers won't get hot in the sum. The front driver and passenger seat has both heated and cooled seats as well as the massage feature. It has its original phone cord for the handsfree feature, but probably won't work with a smart phone. However, there are a myriad of adapters out there that work with smartphones specifically I know one that works with iphone -- the adaptor aslo makes the pop-out phone pad work too - if you are really interested in this, contact me and I will get you the details. It does have navigation. It also has both a front and rear radar detection system - the little box that says "auto" in the interior picture of the dash is the radar detector. These seats are by far the most comfortable seats, extremely adjustable. Tons and tons of room in the backseat as well as the trunk. Everything else about the sound system works great, it does have a single CD player so if you don't want the changer fixed, you can still listen to CDs. I do have the owners manual and both keyless remote fobs. This is an as-is sale - I will not accept a refund or return due to the nature of shipping, the sale, etc. So be sure to ask questions. I have noted everything to the best of my ability and I will gladly answer any questions that I can and take any other necessary pictures. If you are local, please contact me and I am happy to show you the vehicle. I believe I have started the prices on this quite reasonable based on Kelly Blue Book as well as MMR (if any of you are dealers). I am a private seller but do have insight into the car auction business.
