Dodge clocked this model @ over 150 mph @ the Bonneville Salt Flats ! - The reason I am selling The Red Beast has to do with my first love, old motorcycles. Since retiring I have gotten back into restoring old motorcycles. I need the room in the garage for the restored bikes. I drove one of the 4-dr Viper trucks that came out later in 2006. With only an automatic for the 4-dr and an extra 400 lbs the 4-dr just doesn't come close to the 2-dr in acceleration or handling, not worth having IMHO ! - Don't wait, because when the economy turns around you won't touch these trucks in this condition for under $30K ! This was (and still is) my dream truck, and in 2007 I flew to California to pick up my red prize. WOW, it not only accelerated like a striped ape, this thing handles ! I expected it to be fast (with 500 HP it had to be) but the surprise was the excellent handling, for a 5,000 pound vehicle this thing can really cut the corners. Dodge had set out to trounce the Ford Lightning, and they really did it in all respects. - This one has the 22" wheels, the Bluetooth mirror, the 6 CD changer AM/FM radio with subwoofer, Power Windows & Locks, Tilt wheel and all the goodies. I put on a custom ordered $1500 ARE hard Tonneau cover with Racing Wing and I think it is one of the sharpest looking Viper Trucks around, take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself. - Flaws: A scratch on the front lower bumper facia, it has been touched up with factory color paint and is hardly noticeable. The windshield does have a circular crack from a rock. It is under the windshield wiper area. Since I like the Viper logo that is on the windshield and the crack is not in the drivers view I have not had the windshield replaced. - Please feel free to ask and and all questions about my truck for sale.
