For sale is a 1958 Convertible 190SL shell and chassis. This car was stored for over 20 years. It has its original front frame rail tag and stamp STILL on the car. She still has her engine mounts and original driveshaft in the car. It will come with a190 SL engine with crank and camshaft (engine #121921-10-015313).This engine needs rebuild. You will get several additional engine parts along with the actual engine. This car will also have some air filters, exhaust, driveshaft and other 190SL pieces (some seen in the pictures). The shell was recently stripped of all its prior paint, and resprayed to protect metal. There were many areas that needed welding, with some already done, and more work needed. Its a rough project, but the high value of these cars make it worth the asking price.. The original "body" portion of the car was removed from its original chassis many years ago except for the front suspension with the vin stamp and tag. THAT is STILL on the car. Interior and chrome is pretty much gone but the cars original transmission tunnel is still solid and in tact. The original pedals are there but the original floors and most of the rockers are gone. New floor and trunk pans provided ($1000 value), and some rocker sections have been welded in. In order to make the shell usable we found a rock solid complete Mercedes 190 SL chassis from California. This 190 SL chassis has its fender stamp also, has both original suspensions, steering box. Solid rockers and rails from front to back, side to side. We will have the shell placed on the rolling chassis for transport. Have your welders complete the job and you'll have a big start on a 190 SL at a low BUY IT NOW price. GREAT WINTER PROJECT. As you all know these 190SL's are going for $50,000-$90,000. CLEAR TITLE for export.....at $9995 this car is definitely worth the investment. Sold as-is how-is with right to inspect. It has a clear title. $1000 Deposit due after auction end with $500 due if BUY IT NOW is used. Balance within 3 business days. Does qualify for export worldwide. We will gladly do some of the welding work if requested and will charge accordingly for the work done. This is a big project car. We can help transport to local east coast port for overseas transport. It will be placed on chassis and secured down. Since 190 SL has 2 front suspensions it will not lie flush on the new chassis. It will roll but will need work by each tire. The shell can be lifted up by an engine hoist if needed. It should only go on an enclosed trailer. Good Luck.
