I purchased this 1979 Bronco Ranger XLT 4 X 4 (Arizona Vehicle all its life) two years ago to have a second vehicle for my wife and I who winter here in San Tan Valley, Arizona. It is garaged all summer and has been driven very little the past two years (reason for getting rid of). It runs great, I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. Shows 37,385 on speedometer but probably is 137,385 or this is what was told to me when I bought it. Shows that it has the 351 Cleveland engine. I was told it had a frame off restoration in 1999 but cannot verify that. Has a little surface rust underneath in a couple of spots (remember Arizona vehicle all its life) but nothing to worry about. What works: All lights, Air conditioning, heater, cruise control, 4 wheel drive, fog lights, Heavy load air ride control, tow light hook up, electric brake set up, cassette radio with Coustic equalizer booster, electric fuel pump, Spectrum-Whistler radar detector. It also is set up for a CB but I removed the CB radio when I first got it. What doesn’t work to my knowledge: Left turn interior signal light arrow (lights work on outside). This vehicle had its catalytic converter removed some time ago and replaced with a regular exhaust system. If you are in an area that requires the vehicle to pass emission controls you would have to reinstall a catalytic converter.
