You are bidding on an amazing 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible. Our dealership acquired this vehicle on trade from the 2nd owner not too long ago. The 1978 VW Super Beetle is all orginal and in great shape. The 1978 VW Super Beetle starts up every time, drives like a champ, and looks amazing!! The first owner purchased this vehicle brand new in 1978 and sold it to a friend in 1982 to the 2nd owner. They have had it ever since. The top has been recently replaced and in great shape, all the weatherstripping was replaced within the last few years, and the vinyl leatherette interior is in great shape, except for the actual cushion on the interior could be replaced for a more comfortable ride. The vehicle specifications are as follows: Engine Type : O4 1585 cc | 96.7 cu in. | 1.6 L.48 BHP (35.328 KW) @ 4200 RPM73 Ft-Lbs (99 NM) @ 2800 RPMBore : 3.4 in | 85 mm. Stroke : 2.7 in | 69 mm. Exterior: The exterior of the 1978 VW Super Beetle is in great shape all around from bumpers, fenders, rear, panels, etc... There is one blemish as you can note in the pictures on the front bumper underneath that occurred during the tow behind on one of the previous owners trips. It is very minor, and we have had a body shop estimate the repair at only $300. The tires are in great shape, the top is in great shape, excluding 2-less than a 1/4 inch rip on the right side. Very Very minor and can be repaired for only $30 and shall be done before the 1978 VW Super Beetle leaves our facility. Mechanical: The engine on the vehicle was always serviced and has been completely rebuilt approximately 6 years ago from the previous owners. They have also included several extra parts that go with the vehicle from various brake parts, tie rod ends, and other miscellaneous goodies. The 1978 VW Super Beetle drives excellent and the motor sounds wonderful and strong!! Interior: All panels are intact, the door panels are solid and all there, and the seats, dash, etc... are in great shape. Note the seat specifications listed previously also. All Sales are Final, all winning bidders will be required to pay an additional $150 documentary service fee, and all WA State residents will be required to pay the additional 8.9% Sales Tax, all applicable licensing and registration fees, and the $150 documentary service fee.
