White 2002 Ford Taurus SE wagon for parts or fix. I am selling this for my mother in law, but will do my best to describe. 3.0L, v6 automatic. 4 door wagon with 3rd seat in back. Car starts and idles, but will stall if try to give it gas - was checked by dealer and needs new fuel pump(their estimate about $750, about $220 for fuel pump assembly if DIY). It seems to have some pressure but not good flow? (35-40psi). There is also a battery light on on the dash, while idling it has just over 14volts. I am not sure if the issues are related or not, the battery light has been on for awhile. The car is in decent condition inside and out but not perfect. There is a little rust at right rear wheel well. It has power windows, mirrors, cruise control and cd changer. I am not sure if the A/C is good or not. The power antenna does not go down automatically, but you can hear it trying. There is also a squeek/chirping that sounds like it is coming from the serpintine belt area. The idler pulley, tensioner pulley, water pump, cam syncronizer assembley and alternator were all replaced with in the last 3 months. (all new parts except the alternator was a used one) I am not sure if the car had keyless entry, but we only have one key for it and there is no remote. Please feel free to ask questions or come to take a look. The car is not driveable and will need to be towed. Sold as is. Inspected until 9-2012. Could be a good cheap car for someone who is mechanically inclined or use for parts. Again please feel free to ask questions or come look at it since I may have missed something. Thanks for looking.
