You are bidding on a 1987 Allanté, with its removable aluminum hardtop and a multi-port fuel injected Cadillac's aluminum 4.1 L Ht-4100 V8. Cadillac only produced around 3,300 of these limited edition roadster in 1987. The body of the Allanté was designed and built in Italy by Pininfarina (of Ferrari fame). The completed bodies were shipped from Italy in specially equipped 747s to Cadillac's Detroit assembly plant. The bodies were then mated to the chassis. This led to a few interesting nicknames, such as "The Flying Italian Cadillac" and "The world's longest assembly line." Own a neat piece of Cadillac history. This is a one owner Florida car. The original owner moved from FL to Canada with the vehicle and returned with it to FL. It was traded at our Ford store in Naples FL. It does run and drive and the a/c is working. Noticable defects include dent in the door (pictured), some surface rusting, driver window goes down only halfway but returns back up, passenger sun visor is loose.
