Vehicle Detail

1951 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This truck is basically original. It has the stock Flat Head V-8 Engine and Manual 3 Speed Transmission, on the Column. This truck starts and runs. It will need some tinkering, before it can be used as a daily driver. The Carburetor will need to be rebuilt or adjusted and all six of the Radiator Hoses will probably need to be replaced. The top hoses have splits in them and leak coolant, when the engine is running. I put a new Fuel Pump and Rebuilt Starter on the Truck and changed the Spark Plugs. It now starts and idles, but needs a Carburetor rebuild or an Accelerator Pump, to run well enough to drive. I have been starting the Truck with a 12 Volt Battery. It starts better that way, but I had to disconnect the lead into the cab to keep from damaging the Lights and wiring under the dash. You can either change back to a 6 Volt Battery or put a Voltage step down to 6 Volts inline. The Brakes are working, but could use bleeding and adjusting to be safe. The Truck is sitting on newer Ford Truck Rims and Radial Tires. The Tires are good enough to drive, but should probably be replaced before any highway driving. The Cab is pretty solid. The Cab Corners are pretty solid. The Floor Boards have some rust in them. The Dash is nice and still has the original Radio. The Seat has some rips. The Hood is pretty solid. The Hood Stainless and Chrome looks good, not perfect or show pieces. The Fenders are pretty solid, but have some rust. The Grill is nice looking. The Running Boards have some rust. The Bed Sides are pretty solid and have tubes welded down them, between the Stake Pockets. I believe these were meant for attaching tarps or straps. The Bed has a piece of Plywood for the Floor. The original wood and metal strips are gone. The Tail Gate is rusty. I was going to put a couple of strap hinges on it and look for a better Tail gate. All of the Glass is in the Truck. The Windshield and Rear Window are good. The Door Windows and Vent Windows are cracked. I am posting good pictures and a detailed description. I will try to answer any questions through email. I am listing this truck with no reserve. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee. If you are interested in delivery, please contact me for a quote and time estimate.
