Vehicle Detail
10% Sellers Commission will be added to final bid. The following is a general description of the vehicle. I am not a mechanic and will describe this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. This vehicle is being sold privately and is not part of A&B Vehicle Processing or B&B Vehicle processing. Additional vehicles are available through www.abimpound.com under the auction section. Vehicle Description 1968 Dodge Charger with 440 Tunnel Ram California Vehicle Model Charger Motor 440 with tunnel ram and 2 Holley carburetors Transmission B&W floor shifter- auto Vin CA658596 Mileage Indicates 97,036 Title Clear California Title Vehicle Condition Vehicle appears to be in good condition for year of vehicle- see pics and video Note I am selling this vehicle for a friend whose husband has deceased. According to her, he acquired it in the early 70’s in California. When he acquired the vehicle, it did not have a vin plate on the fender, the dash, nor on the door frame. He took it to the California Highway Patrol to have it blue tagged. It was his dream vehicle and he has been tinkering with it on and off since then. He unexpectedly passed in August of 2011 and the car was placed in storage. The car was delivered to me in late February of 2012 to sell. This is the first time I have dealt with the vehicle and have no history of the vehicle other than what is stated in the listing. We did a quick check of engine fluids and manually turned the engine over before starting it. We found that the distributor rotor had been intentionally broken so it would not start. It was replaced. The motor immediately started up but the mechanic informed me the front carburetor may be running rich and would need to be adjusted or rebuilt. The wife also informed me that to the best of her knowledge this was an R/T. I checked with the California DMV and it only indicated 1969 Dodge. I also checked with a local classic car shop and they said it appeared to be an R/T but there is no definitive way to tell as the vin plates have been removed along with the builders sheet under the rear seat.
