“STUNNING” 1972 MUSTANG MACH 1! 1972 was the second year of the big change for classic Ford Mustang! These cars “though bigger” are quickly becoming a fan favorite among the Blue Oval crowd. The handling and ride quality is much better than the previous model years. Some would argue that the over all appearance is much superior as well. This particular 72 Mustang is simply stunning & is presented in a beautiful shade of red! The original exterior color was Ivy Glow Metallic. Almost everyone one who has seen this pony in person agrees that the Chili pepper red exterior fits this Mustangs character much better! The paint shines wonderfully almost at any given time of day. The red paint is very deep and has a better than average finish. The black Mach 1 stripes look great on this car and most certainly reminds you of yester year. One of the nice things about this Mustang is that it has great body panels. As you walk around this one you will come to realize that this ones not just another pretty face in the crowd. The fenders, doors, quarters, roof and hood really seem to come together nicely. The front edge of the hood could be brought out a little further; however I have had several Mustang enthusiasts to tell me to leave it alone. Regardless “this car will draw no lack of attention when she comes out to play”! Compliments and thumbs up are the norm whenever she cruises down the freeway! This Mustang has spent its entire life in a dry environment {Dallas Texas D.S.O. #52}. I believe anyone classic car enthusiast would be thoroughly impressed with this cars RUST FREE body & clean exterior. There are a few scratches {that one would come to expect with a driver} however the body is in very good shape. The front bumper is in great shape & the rear chrome bumper {recently replaced} shines brilliantly as well. The surrounding factory glass & front windshield are damage free. The exterior illumination/lights work properly. The aggressive looking Mach 1 signature front chin spoiler is not only in top notch shape “it adds just the right touch”! I would also like to mention that 72 Mustang was actually owned by a woman for 17 years! I purchased the vehicle from her & I have documentation of that fact. She was excited to tell me how she and her college son took the car to cruise inns & car shows. It was touching to hear about how it helped bring them together since his dad had past away at an early age. Since he entered college over a year ago she stated that it just sat in the garage. It was definitely a bitter sweet moment for her when I purchased it. Anyway…the interior décor was actually White with black accents originally {AW –code}. Once again I think that the new interior gave this pony a much needed face lift! Almost all of the interior is new! The seat upholstery, carpet, door panels, headliner and arm rest were all replaced with the last year. The remainder of the interior is in great condition as well. The dash is even in mint condition {believed to be original}. I have to mention the fact that this Mustangs center gauge package actually works! Not one gauge….all 3! You will have problem monitoring this Mustangs performance at any time. The center console is in great condition. It is mounted flush & attached securely. Remote mirrors were the order of the day for the Mach 1 cars. The drivers’ side mirror glass seems to move around a bit too freely, but it is not in danger of going anywhere. This one was optioned with: power steering & disc brakes. The car handles very well! Now on to one of my favorite topics in regards to the vehicle……the drive train! I have owned quite a few classic Mustangs, however I must say that this one has one of the best performing 302 V/8’s that I have ever driven! The motor is extremely responsive & it really loves the open road. The previous owner explained to me how they had a local shop constantly checking on its maintenance. That being said upon turning the key you will quickly come to realize that there was much more than routine done to this one at some point! The car sounds extremely healthy and the block seems to be built just a bit. This pony came from the factory with an {351-H code motor}. I believe that someone before the previous owner added a very extra horses to compensate for the loss of the original block. At any rate this Mustang is simply a blast to drive! The original {W-code} C4 transmission is still in place and it engages properly. “This 1972 pony has plenty of get up and go “yet it is extremely user friendly”. Very reliable….Fly in/drive back? This Mustang has a chambered exhaust system with dual two chamber Flow Master Performance mufflers. The exhaust has been dumped underneath. Great tone…. nostalgic muscle car growl! It also has a fairly new set of 15x8 inch magnum 500’s with new raised white letter performance radials as well. It handles like a vintage Mustang should! The suspension is in very good shape & plenty of additional parts have been replaced underneath as well. This Mustang has a very rich history & value as it hasn’t passed many hands. While it is not show car I would still say that it is very nice! Garaged and covered {car cover included}. This gorgeous 72 Mach is ready to be enjoyed. Originally sold in Dallas this pony is structurally sound. It has very nice original floors, torque boxes & frame rails. Absolutely no rust or rot issues/ RARE/ROCK SOLID! Too many good things to say about this one. At the end of the day I am sure that the new potential owner will be more than pleased with this classic Mach. NO SURPRISES!
