Vehicle Detail
Original "rebuilt" drivetrain (Motor, trans, brakes; basically zero miles since). Detailed engine compartment with most everything NEW including the radiator, overflow tank, hoses, etcetera. The previous owner finished out the inside hood, firewall, fender wells, front cross bracing behind the grill, while he was rebuilding the original motor. Added into this amazing mix is a totally NEW exhaust system. At the same time a NEW windshield and seal was installed. The NEW ($1400) grill was just installed (3/5/12) out of it's Mopar box. As pictured the original excellent condition breather assembly and snorkel tubes are present. This is an absolute rust free, never patched body and frame. The cab floor is unscathed by rust or 32 years of life. Was always garaged (last owner had it 15 years). The outside surface of the hood is in primer. Factory air conditioning with most all new parts. A/C adds quite a bit to the value. Has original rims (need rechroming), good to excellent stack assemblies, beautiful bed and tailgate (with new tailgate chains just taken out of the Mopar package). Interior is NEWly recovered bucket and jump seat option (adds much to sport package and more to the value than bench seat style). The dash is crack free and all gauges work. We have the air outlet port missing in the dash picture. Glass and their seals are excellent all around with the passenger roll up window sticking a little. There are NEW door surround/frame rubber seals and roll up window slide rubbers for install after the new owner/buyer finishes the paint as they would like (still in Mopar sealed wrappings). The original radio works with a NEW NOS antenna installed. The inside bed wood was a NEW install about three years ago and just needs some cleaning for the new look without replacement. This has that classic 360ci power and sound that not just attracts attention, but demands respect from collectors to plain old pick up truck enthusiasts. A collectible, useful, proud investment that has all the major items at an 80% restored level and carries the Lil Red signiture ((Woody status/exhaust stacks/fastest truck of it's catagory in it's time)) well worth finishing. Finish the paint, install a wood kit, "Lil Red" signiture decals/pinstripes (all kits are available on-line), and you will have a restored collectible/investment always being the conversation. May be advertised locally and have the right to withdraw from sale. As is sale. Must be picked up within two weeks. Has an Original owner's manual, thousands of dollars of receipts, sound system brochure and various other documentation. I recommend: Bears Transport PH: 866-858-8066 FX: 847-589-0830 lt@bearstransport.com www.bearstransport.com On Mar-10-12 at 05:38:36 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: Keep in mind when you are contemplating buying that "project sort of driver" with none of the major function components rebuilt or even refreshed----The cost and time in rebuilding the engine/trans/exhaust/brakes repair shops (and not to mention the dealing with them) is heavy. Paint is quick and different quality levels is up to a new owner and their cost decision. All the remaining finishing on our truck can be ordered and finished easily by a new owner. At that point our truck will be so close to calling it a total restoration, you will continuously be asked, "did you restore it"? Get what you pay for. If you can't buy the $15k to $25k one now, you can have a NEW one now with minimal tweaking required. Definition of NEW in the classic car/truck world is 90%+ rust free/rebuilt. A pretty package is only as good as the contents. On Mar-10-12 at 11:35:28 PST, seller added the following information: Bear's Transport Company logo should be "S" as in the Superman "S". They kick your shipping in the "-SS".. UP, UP and AWAY, S as in Shipping! On Mar-11-12 at 07:55:12 PDT, seller added the following information: There's probably only one like this across the market span under $10,000. That is, there may be some that are driver quality with no major component rebuilds, or had previous rust out holes that have been patched up. This truck is as close to the term "survivor" (survivor being like the body was in 1979 show room-accounting for a years usage thereafter) as can get. And, to repeat myelf, new rebuilt drive-line as close to 1979 showroom demo, as can get. On Mar-11-12 at 16:48:11 PDT, seller added the following information: As can be seen: power brakes/steering. ENGINE compartment: Notice all new down to the rubber bumpers, hood catch/spring, hose brackets and so on. Add up the cost of everything seen new plus the rebuilts. You couldn't even buy a driver level Express and do all these parts/labor for the buy now total price. we are asking. On Mar-12-12 at 13:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I appreciate any and all bids, but I won't hold my breath based upon the present bidding "non-frenzy". Dream, wake up and grab the "buy" reality. Or, keep dreaming. It won't own this truck. You must bid it's value, not your wish list value. On Mar-13-12 at 05:32:48 PDT, seller added the following information: The bed, and maybe the tailgate includedwithout the fenders, are maybe worth $2000.On Mar-13-12 at 08:25:24 PDT, seller added the following information: There are "run of the mill" trucks and then there is this edition. This is "classic"/"investment" through and through. A "signature" image that won't be matched (unless unoriginal/hot rodded/tricked out/retro floats your boat). It will never lose it's uniqueness, because stacks/wood/factory high performance/chromes/signiture decals combination are seldom seen. A painting in motion that also serves the Home Depot house chore tool. The wife may even approve.
