1961 Ford Ranchero This is a 6 cylinder automatic. Runs like a sewing machine. Motor does not smoke or knock, transmission fluid is perfectly pink and shifts perfect, good compression in the motor. Pruchased vehicle three and a half years ago. We have enjoyed this vehicle. Used to run errands, gas runs, parts runs and taught all of our kids to drive with it, including our 11 year old. Have rebuilt front suspension, installed new shocks, couple new tires, new windshield with new windshield rubber, new exhaust muffler and tail pipe, and bought a ashtray. We knew when we bought it the body was rough and someone had done a restore in the mid 70's when burgandy was the in thing. Example floor pans were redone with sheetmetal and rivots. Even though it passed inspection in November recently we discovered the springs have broke thru the frame in the rear. This make it NOT SAFE ANYMORE. It can no longer be driven on roads or highways.
