Vehicle Detail

Garaged, highway truck, 81k miles, . This truck is as nice as they get. It looks and smells as fresh as a new one. It is a 2004.5 with the 325 hp/600 high output 5.9 Cummins and the highly desirable cast iron NV5600 6 speed manual transmission. This truck is completely stock (never chipped or modified in anyway). Chrome running boards from Cabelas, the 1'st class B&W turn-over gooseneck hitch (which also accepts the Companion fifth wheel for a camper or RV), extra electrical connection in the bed for goose neck or fifth wheel, Rhino bed liner, towing mirrors, too many options to list. Also, has recent oil change, newly installed Baldwin 7-micron fuel filter (plus an extra filter for when you need it), and dealer installed update of the in-tank lift pump. The tires are Michelin's and have probably 7-10k miles left in them. I looked for a year to find this one in this condition because I wanted a garaged, 5.9L with a manual transmission, and I didn't want a city truck that had been started everyday for short commuter trips in the winter time. Trucks like this with the 5.9 Cummins (much simpler than the new 6.7), low highway miles, and in this condition are becoming very hard to find. Note: The original Michelin tires have some wear, but if a buyer prefers, I would be willing to swap the set cast aluminum wheels mounted with 285/70R16's (tread depth of .39 front, .31 rear) from my other truck. They are a bigger and more aggressive tire. The wheels measure about 16x9 or 16x10. The last three photos are of the other wheels and tires that would be available if the buyer prefers. Note: truck is also for sale locally. Also wanted to comment about delivery. I understand that purchasing a vehicle long distance can be a bit problematic. I don't want to take any chances that a person would make a big effort and then not like the truck when they see it...if there was any chance of that, I would only sell it locally. The only issue at all I can think of is a very small door ding on the drivers side that you can see under a certain light. Also, I am willing to pick someone up at the airport (Colorado Springs or Denver) so they can drive the truck home (Colorado Springs is closer and much more convenient but perhaps a little more expensive for the ticket). Excerpt from article entitled "10 Best Used Diesel Trucks" taken from Diesel Power magazine: 2003 to 2004½ Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 "...Common-rail injection ushered in a new era of technological advancement for the famed inline-six Cummins engines that have been offered in Dodge pickups since the ’89 model. The new powerplants burn cleaner and make more power—yet they are still the simplest of the modern diesels. Unfortunately, the change to ultra-low sulfur fuel combined with increased injection pressures has led to reduced injector life in new diesels. When ’05-and-later 5.9L Cummins engines have malfunctioning injectors, they can cause melted pistons, which can ultimately lead to a full engine rebuild. But the earlier common-rail Dodges (’03 to ’04½) seem to give the driver much more of a warning (in the form of a bunch of white smoke exiting the tailpipe) before they pop any pistons. Over-the-road haulers will want to look for cast-iron, NV5600 six-speed-equipped dualies from this era for their next tow rig"
