Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1968 Sears 250cc Twingle vintage motorcycle in original condition with 5377 miles. The engine on this bike is very unique as it is a two stroke single cylinder with two pistons inside the cylinder, hence the name Twingle. One piston manages the intake ports and the other takes care of the exhaust ports. This has never been restored and to my knowledge everything on the bike is original right down to the tires, except for the new petcock I put on it due to a leaky original. This bike is ready to ride as is and runs perfect. Everything works perfect including the lights, brakes, speedo, horn, etc. The original tires are still in great shape with no weather checking and still have lots of tread left. The clutch works perfect and it shifts through all the gears perfect. The only things I have done to the bike are clean the carb, drain the gas and oil and put in new and installed a new petcock. The bike is obviously not perfect still looks great in my opinion. The rust on the exhaust is only on the surface and is not even close to being rusted through anywhere. The wheels have some rusting too but still not too bad. Do some research on this bike and you will find that is quite an amazing little bike with some really cool features that no other bike has ever had or probably will ever have. I have a clear Michigan title for the bike so no problems getting it licensed for the road. I rode the bike the other day and had no problem getting up to 55mph and it still had more to go. If you purchase this bike you are responsible for all shipping arrangements or you can pick it up. I will deliver to a container at Forward Air in Detroit for an extra $100. I can hold onto the bike for a while after purchase as long as it is paid in full within the stated time. Thanks for looking.
