Up for sale is my 68 Cadi Eldo. If you are looking at this ad, you already know that this 1968 Cad is similar to the 67 model but it has the larger engine. The 1967 had a 429 and the 68 has a 472. But only 1967 and 1968 had the hidden headlamp feature which makes it one of the coolest looking Eldorados built. So, the 1968 is the best of the 2 years because of the newer larger engine released in 68 but maintaining the similar look as 67. These are front wheel drive and the transmission is basically a Turbo 400 re-configured to be FWD. They called it the TH425. My car is white with a white vinyl top and a black interior. The interior is in pretty nice shape and the front seat has been redone in leather already. This is one of the most common and expensive things to repair on an older Caddy. This probably saves you about a grand. The engine starts right up and the trans shifts smooth and proper. The brakes work well and they should with the 2 new brake calipers I had installed. Newer alternator also. The body is in fair shape with some scuffs and small dings here and there. The front headlamps do work a little slow but the system is complete and they do move. As with most of these older cars, the AC system is intact but not blowing cold. The car has the cruise control option. I had planned on keeping the car and doing a full blown restoration on it but I have 10 cars now and I have to make some decisions. Paint this car black and you would have a traffic stopping machine. Having a black interior puts you halfway there. If it was good enough for Elvis, it is good enough for you momma baby. I am available to show it during the day weekdays.
