Vehicle Detail

I have up for auction is a custom 1962 Chevy Belair 4dr sedan. This is the perfect project car for some one willing to finish it. It just need a little bit more work and its done. I have to sell it do to having a newborn on the way. This car has plenty of exterior mods and about 90% of the body work is done. The mods include shaved door handles with door poppers. Shaved side trim. Shaved gas door and rear filler panel below the back glass.Besides paint, the only thing the exterior needs is either a new hood or a good body man to fix the original. The only thing really wrong with the hood is where the chrome molding bolts to the front lip. It is rusted and missing about a quarter of the lip but a good body man would have no problems fixing it. The door glasses and back glass are original to the car. The windshield and vent glasses are brand new along with new w/s and b/g rubber. The only other rubber i have not gotten is the door seals. The interior is where the most work is needed. The front and rear seats are still covered in the original two tone blue cloth and vinal, so they will need to be recovered. Does need new carpet and headliner. All headliner bows are still with the car. The dash has been repainted gloss black and looks like brand new. The original AM radio is still in tact and works. It has a custom metal center console that houses the white face oil temp. and water temp. guages. It also houses the MIC manual fast valve setup for the air ride, along with a cut out for a cd player. This was an automatic column shifted car but now has the floor mounted Z-Gate shifter. The air ride guages are white faced along with the instrument cluster. The glove box door has custom pin stripping i did not to long ago. Suspension wise it has brand new bags front and rear. They are the Denominator 2600 series bags from airbagit.com. All 1/2" air line, 5 gallon tank with a chrome Viair 380C compressor. The brakes are brand new front to rear which consist of the following. New master cylinder, new brake lines front to rear, new brake hoses, new brake hardware and shoes. It still has four wheel drums that work and stop perfectly. New upper and lower ball joints and bushings. One rear trailing arm is bent but it does not affect the handling or driving capability. I do however have another set that goes with the car. Does need front and rear shocks. The car sits on 15x7 silver corvette wheels rite now but it does come with brand new, never mounted chrome cragar smoothies measuring 15x6 for the front and 15x7 for the rear. The 350 sbc is where all the fun is at. This is a brand new motor from top to bottom with maybe 3 hrs. of run time. It hasn't even been broke in yet and still has the break in oil in it. All internals are brand new. It has a new Edelbrock aluminum intake and 600cfm edelbrock carb. New custom chrome plated aluminum valve covers. Chrome block hugger headers with 2 1/2" down pipes. The rest of the exhaust needs to be finished but does come with 8" race mufflers measuring 3 1/2" in/out. Brand new aluminum radiator. New transmission coolent lines. Has been converted to a HEI distributor. New 8mm taylor wires. It has a newly rebuilt TH350 with a shift kit. New 2500 stall converter. Motor runs very strong. The only thing needed in the engine bay is the front main headlight harness with driver side internal regulated alternator and harness for the HEI system. It also has a 16 gallon fuel cell in the trunk with with new steel braided fuel line. All in all this is a very well built car. Perfect for the person looking for a winter project to have for cruising in the summer. I do have extra parts to go with the car including original fender skirts. Also comes with all 5 factory wheels, with only 3 of the original 409 style hub caps. If you would like more pictures, please feel free to e-mail me at tinkertoyzprez1@yahoo.com or call 757-528-9537, ask for Dale. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Remember, restore them, don't crush them. Even if it is a four door. On Nov-30-11 at 11:05:31 PST, seller added the following information: I do have the rite to end auction since the car is for dale locally also.
