Discription / Condition The current owner purchased this VW Bus in 1997, just as the restoration had been completed. The only thing that has been done since that time is maint. items. The car is bone stock as it came from Germany in 1961. There has been no mechanical additions or changes to the car that we know of. This VW Bus is part of a small collection of cars that are stored indoors and only get driven for maintenance purposes or a Sunday cruise. As you can see the cars interior and exterior have been completly restored. The engine was new at the time of restoration and runs great. The underside of the car was not touched during the resto. and is in good condition. There is some light surfuse rust on some of the sheet metal panels on the underside of the car. There is no pitted rust or rust out areas. There are a few small rock chips in the paint and a small door ding(very miner). Their are no dents in body or bumpers. There is a long paint scratch on the front bumper, fnt lic. plate is damaged (see photo) The car can be seen in Palm Desert ca. .
