Vehicle Detail

Here is a retired 1982 California Highway Patrol "CHP" "SSP"(Severe Service Package) Mustang currently located in the city of Bakersfield California. This Retired Mustang is Unit #0448 and Exempt License Plate was once "E870448".(See Document I have pictureed with this listing. Please note Document of the history check has certaina areas blocked for previos owner privacy. This Documentation will be provided to winner of this Auction in the unblocked form.Brief History, in 1982 the California .Highway Patrol puurchased 406 of these SSP Mustangs and put them in service through out the State of California as chase vehicle's and these vehicles were known by slofgan to chase Porshes for a living. That was 30 years ago and today in 2012 twenty(20) or so of these 1982 Mustangs are known documented survivors and in existance in this country and in the world.Unit #0448 was retired sometine in the year 1984 and was purchased by a gentleman from Carson California on the date of 01/09/1985. This vehicle is a roller meaning her engine, transmission and original interior have been removed for what ever past reasons. This vehicle has Historical value as being part of the first fleet of Mustangs for the Mustang programin 1982. Vehicle has original front and rear suspension.front bumper with driver side siren cut out, rear bumper and all glass. The tires are weathered from sitting All antennas pictured come with the vehicle along with antenna whip clip that is attached to the upper door frame opening of the driverside body. One driver side clear Unity Spolight is also included.Original Trunk Lid retains one original snare clip on the left side and Dyno Tabe labeling which I believe is the " in service date" Unit 0448 would make an excellent restoration project.I would really like to see this retired unit go to someone who has intentions of restoring her back to its service condition if not a daily driver.Unit card could still be on file and available upon request from the CHP Motor Transport Division in Sacramento California. This vehicle identity of being unit 0448 is currently unknown by Chp car collectors at this time meaning this vehicle is not included in the 20 or so SSP Mustangs as known varified survivors and being identified in the Vin Registry web site as being existant. The Sucessfull bidder/ winner of this listing will get the Vevicle, Key with Unit tag stamped "0448" on and a State of California vehicle log book .Winner will also responsible for pick up/ transporting arrangements upon delivery. If you have any questions please ask and I will try my best to answer them as soon as possible.Good Luck on this low resrve Vehicle.
