CASH only! Please email me with any questions and we'll go from there... I am selling my Racing Red / Tangerine Pearl 1993 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Automatic with 148k miles now that I bought a motorcycle. It’s been a good run, but I don’t really drive the stang too much anymore and I could use the money to pay down the credit card! I bought her in December of 2003 with about 60k miles. She's had just about everything you do except get inside the engine or add a power adder. The best upgrade was the Dominator Jr. Street/Strip AOD Level 2 transmission in 2007, but it also has a chip, TrickFlow upper/lower intake, xpipes, 3.73 gears, full intake, suspension work, headers, 2700W sound system etc. etc. The prices I quote are for PARTS ONLY…the installation cost isn’t even factored in. There’s a grand total of $9,960 in parts I’ve paid for (and I only did the installation on a tiny fraction of this so double the parts cost for the total I’ve put into her) or $12,590 (when including the work that had been done by the prior owner) for the total value of the parts added to the car since her birth at the Ford factory. Kelly Blue Book puts her, in Fair condition at $1,985 and they estimate that you should add 33% of the aftermarket parts’ value to the value of the vehicle, making this car ‘worth’ $6,140. I WAS asking for $6k, which happens to be exactly what I paid for her when I bought her 8 years ago but now I'm offering an even better deal...I bought her in December of 2003 with about 62k miles on her and she’d already had the following things done to her (all prices are PARTS only, installation cost isn’t even accounted for here):BBK 65mm Throttle Body$190Trick Flow TFS-515B0001 StreetBurner Upper/Lower Intake Manifolds$470Maximum Legal in VA Tint (all windows)$2003.73 gears$180Shorty Headers$200Tangerine Pearl / Racing Red Paint Job$1,000MAC Cold Air Intake / K&N Filter$190Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers$140VentVisors$60 Total: $2,630Over the years I did the following:X-Pipe / High Flow Cats$400Subframe Connectors$100Front Strut Tower Brace$100Pulleys: underdrive crank, powersteering, h2o, overdrive alternator$170Cobra Rear Bumper$320Clear Head/Smoked Euro Tail Lights$260White Gauge Faces$70Aluminum bezels and trim$80Be-Cool Aluminum Radiator / Michelin Blue Full Hose Kit$573Long Tru- Cool LPD Transmission Cooler- 40,000 GVW (4739)$182Oil Separator Lightning, Cobra catch can all PCV system$372007 Dominator Junior Street/ Strip AOD Transmission - Level 2$1,900C&L 76mm Mass Air Meter Sensor System$210Powerstop Slotted Rotors$150Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads / Rear Drums ('10 / '09)$110Speed Bleeders/ Metal Caliper Retainers/ Steel Brake Lines$120Eclipse CD5000 Head Unit$515Audiobahn AW1205Q 2000W 12" Sub w/ Sealed Enclosure$300Audiobahn 6x9s, 5 1/4s, Tweeters$250Hifonics Zeus ZX4000 2 Ch Amplifier AMP$1551800 Watts RMS Digital Mono Block Amp MA Audio HK2000D$319Clifford RSIII Remote Start Alarm$5504/1/11 New Remote For Alarm$502004 SCT Chip/ Springfield Motorsport Dyno Tune$750255 LPH Fuel Pump$14519# Fuel Injectors (new)$75Performance Ignition Module /New OEM Distributor/ Performance Coil$2109MM Red Spark Wire Set / MSD Cap & Rotor$150Starter$105 Total: $8,356This year, I’ve done:2011 Harmonic Balancer$1042011 Replace Shifter and bezel$2252011 Outer Window Sill Stripping$602011 New Water Pump$672011 GENERAL ALTIMAX HP 235(225 Front)/55R-16 Tires w/ locking lugnuts$5252011 Optima Yellow Top Battery$2362011 PowerMaster 143amp/14.8volt Alternator$212 Total: $1,604 The Bad We’ve been in a few minor collisions together, so there are some small dents, scrapes and dings. The front bumper could use a re-do, as could the hood. The cobra rear bumper could use a spot fill on one little part and maybe a repaint. The interior could use some minor trim fixups and the driver’s seat has plenty of rips in the leather. The backseat is fine, and the passenger seat has one decent sized hole. The engine definitely will overheat in the summer time in traffic. Replaced the entire cooling system a couple years ago and got a new water pump a couple months ago. There is a small pool of coolant above the water pump so I believe there is a gasket issue in the engine somewhere. Engine has almost 150k so you should be planning on overhauling that thing anyway. I always dreamed of a nasty 351 or beefed up 5.0 with a blower! The alarm works fine, but the keyfob is all but broken. I bought a new transmitter but never got around to programming it. You should do that (I’m throwing it in) so you can take advantage of the remote start. When starting her, you definitely have to feather the throttle for a minute or she’ll cut off, though when you do the remote start she seems to get it on the 2nd or 3rd try so I'd recommend always remote-starting. That is likely easily fixed by getting into the installed racing chip and messing with the settings. Shifting from 3-4, regardless of whether you’re in OD or not occurs only at 3k RPM or 60mph so this isn't a real efficient car (maybe 15mpg with half highway/half city). The Good Battery, alternator, and tires are all virtually brand new! Just waxed and detailed her with all the better or best stuff I could buy, and I’ll throw in the half bottles of everything. That’s a good $50-$100 worth of stuff. When last on a dyno, she peaked at somewhere around 300hp/370tq at the flywheel, but that was about 7yrs ago. I would definitely recommend getting back on a dyno once you nail down the shifting and coolant issues. I drove her pretty much every day to work and back for several years and down to Woodbridge on 95 every couple of days. Highway driving is still totally cool even with her quirks. She definitely sounds better than most cars on the road and definitely still gets heads to turn. Rolling through DC with the windows down will get some traffic jam conversations from fellow muscleheads. Bottom line is that without work, you’re not gonna enter a show or win many races. But the foundation is there, and with some light work, hopefully you get a steal from me. Or, you end up needing to pop a beast of an engine in and you DO win races. I have a lot of the receipts for all of this. The title is free and clear. Price is NOT negotiable. Inspection is good through May 2012 (though you will have to get Emissions when you register and I cannot guarantee it will pass that), so I’m in no hurry to sell my baby.
