I have owned this Land Rover LR3 HSE for almost 3 years
before it was stolen and lightly vandalized around November of last year. In the meantime I bought a new Range Rover to
replace the car. Come January of this year the car was recovered and totaled as
a theft. That is the reason for the
salvage title. The vehicle runs and drives absolutely perfect. What you see is
what you get. I have religiously changed the oil every 3000 miles with AMSOIL.
Both differentials and transfer case have been on REDLINE fluids. The brakes
were flushed at 60K and cross drilled rotors installed with GREENSTUFF brake
pads. The coolant was flushed at 60k and new front bushings installed. The
front bushings are a common failure on the LR3. The air conditioning works
perfect and everything works without question except for the sunroof. The
sunroof needs a new track. The rear door panels had the speakers and covers
damaged by vandals including the far rear speakers in the C-pillar. Radio and
CD player work perfect and still sounds great through the 5 front speakers. There
is a crack on the rear glass of the sunroof. This crack was there when I bought
it and it does not leak or need to be replaced. I did not even notice it until
6 months after I had the vehicle. The DVD player for the screens was stolen and
is a simple $50 dollar plug and play system.
THAT’S IT. EVERYTHING ELSE IS READY TO GO WITH ZERO ISSUES. If I missed
any blemishes I know that I have included them all in the pictures.
Now the good stuff.
The paint scheme is a KAHN style
accented in Vesuvius orange. This includes all the interior trim pieces you see
in the pictures. The wheels are OEM supercharged sport 20” wheels powder coated
flat black. The tires only have 5000 miles on them and they are 285-50-20
Cooper all terrain. Very quiet yet very capable tires. I have installed the OEM
trailer wiring but do not have the hitch anymore. (Stolen) The taillights were
smoked and the front headlights accented. This vehicle has the active adaptive
bi-xenon headlights. The front lamps are 100 watt spot lamps by Hella. It looks
like daylight when you hit the Brights. The HSE model has the 7 passenger
seating, icebox in the console, heated front and rear seats, navigation and the
multi speaker Harmon Kardon system. You get the hardwired Escort radar/lazer
radar detector, two inch lift kit with fully functional air suspension,
stainless steel Borla exhaust with electric bypass at a touch of a button
giving you a deep throaty sound. This vehicle is very unique and a real
attention getter that can take you to the mall in style or climb the side of a
mountain. I love the SUV and I hate to let it go but can’t afford both vehicles
together. You can fly in and drive it across the nation with no hesitations
what so ever. I am using this vehicle daily so the mileage might reflect a
