Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, California Car, Numbers match, all original, absolutely no rust or bondo ever, 92460 original miles. 289 V8 engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, AM Mustang Radio with Cassette Player, Factory Air Conditioning (AC was removed when restoration was started, have all the parts to re-install, see photos, was working when removed). I Started to restore the car, but I am unable to finish due to personable problems. I installed new carpet, new door panels, new kick panels, new dash pad, painted the lower dash. The interior is nearly finished except the drivers seat needs to be repaired or new seat covers and the headliner needs to be stiched in the back. The car runs and drives great with no rattles or squeeks. The front end is tight and handles great. The engine doesn't smoke or burn oil, this is a strong running and solid little car. There are two small dents on the car, one at the right rear wheel well and one at the left rear tail light, easy fixes. You can drive as is or finish the restoration and have a good solid show car. The car has had one repaint, years ago back to its original Honey Gold color, the Mustang was built at the Ford assembly Plant in San Jose, California and spent most of its life in sunny Palm Srings. I bought it and had it shipped to Tennessee with plans to restore it.The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time. $200.00 non refundble deposit due at end of sale, balance due in seven days. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. Payment by Bank Check or Wire Transfer or cash in person. On Feb-24-12 at 15:57:17 PST, seller added the following information: The Air Conditioner Condenser unit in the front of the radiator is still on the car, It wasn't removed. On Feb-26-12 at 09:34:49 PST, seller added the following information: I have had several questions as to whether the undercarriage of the car had been undercoated, it has not. The underside is very clean for a 47 year old car with all original metal, no rust and no patch work. The people that I bought the car from told me that they moved from Cal. to Wash. St. That is where I bought it and had it shipped to TN. in an enclosed carrier, that is the reason for the Wash. St. antique auto plate.
