For sale as shown is my fathers 1964 Buick Skylark project. He has owned it since 1992 and was driving until the typical GM problem with cam and lifters failing. It was parked since about 1995 and had no rust at that time, but since then was in a shed with damp dirt floor for a few years and dry storage since then. Two tires go flat in a day or two, left rear brake is hung up and the same goes for the shifter. The engine moves some but does not seem to turn over completely. I did not try too aggressive though. Also the fuel tank straps let go, but the tank looks good. The body is still very solid for the vintage and the same with the frame. Most visible rust seems to be surface only. The left rear quarter panel has a few bubbles and there are a few dings shown in some of the pictures. The trim had been removed for a respray and is all in the trunk. This is a good restoration project for someone and is too nice for just parts. View pictures and please ask questions before bidding. The floors are solid no rust thoughs I can fine just light surface rust on bottom sides and cleans up well with wire brush.. Paint looks to be original maybe with a few touch ups. The trans is a 4 speed. I now have info on what we have here it does have 300 V8. There is some rust in lower left quarter. Just the fuel tank starps broke. The trunk floor is solid except left front corner has small hole and left side end of body mount crossmember rotted (see pictures). The frame itself appears to be solid. This car has auto trans dash gauge but floor shift assembly with 4 speed. It obviously had been converted to 4 speed at some time.This is sold as is as shown. Buyer is to make payment in 7 days and is responsible for picking it up. What we plan on doing before sale is: free shifter and brake. Also see is we can oil cylinders and turn engine by hand. The two tires need to be replaced (we will not do this) so they hold air over night and that will allow it to be moved on and off trailer. Also a Buick 350 engine is included in this auction.On Feb-28-12 at 18:14:14 PST, seller added the following information: Today we got the brake free so it will now roll. The cylinders have been oiled and things look good from what we can see. Plan on turning engine on Wed. the 29th.On Feb-29-12 at 05:36:47 PST, seller added the following information: Ok, Heres an update. Removed spark plugs NO signs of rust in cylinders or on spark plugs. We oil cylinders and engine turned easy by hand. so we installed a battery and it spun ove with no problems. I spun it long enough to get oil pressure. As I noted before the left rear brake is free, so car will roll. Thanks for looking
