The original was lost or discarded long ago. What it does have is a fresh, restoration correct, numbers matching (correct pad stamp and broach marks) engine. Care was taken to find the correct date-coded 351 engine block (no sleeves here), date coded heads, correct intake-manifold, and correct date coded carburetors (no service replacements). Solid lifters, 11-1 ratio and a upgrade to a Comp cam LS6 solid lifter cam made the dyno achieve 477 hp. (dyno results provided). Over $8,000 was spent on the engine rebuild done by a professional race car engine company locally (all receipts available) The engine compartment received a complete overhaul with restored wiper motor, new wiring harness, new battery, new aluminum radiator, restored water pump, restored alternator, restored headlight motors, all hoses, clamps, and wires. The engine compartment was freshly painted and detailed. Chrome valve covers were installed but two correct GM orange come with the car. Interior The interior of this corvette is in very nice condition. The original black vinyl seats have been replaced with leather covers currently in excellent condition. Seat glides move back and forth freely and lock securely, The gauge cluster and radio show nicely and all in working order. The glove box door restored, the clock has been restored to quartz. The original dash pads are in excellent shape with no scratches tears or discoloration. The console is in nice condition with only a few slight scratches on each side. The carpet, headliner, visors, steering wheel and door panels are all excellent condition originals or correct replacements by a previous owner. The tinted front windshield appears new with all other glass in very good shape except one small scratch exists on passenger side window. All windows open and close smoothly and seal very nice. The rearview mirror was recently restored. Seat belts for driver and passenger latch and adjust as they should. Exterior The Lyndale blue on this car is a very nice repaint with only a few small chips in the front. The fiberglass body is straight with no damage but a front clip replacement with bonding strips appears to have been done some time in it’s early days. All bumpers are nice GM originals. The tires are new Coker redline radials on early Western Bolt-on rims. The side pipe covers have a very nice brushed appearance with good quality chrome tips.
