2000 Chevy Suburban 2500 4x4 with LS package -154k miles -6.0L v8 engine -Automatic transmission -Push button 4x4 -LS trim package -Cd player -Towing package -Third row seat -Auxiliary heating -Stainless rims First year of new body style , this is a Rare 2000 Chevy Suburban 2500 with LS trim package. Has 154k miles on the truck with clear MA title. Equipped with 6.0L v8 engine and 4L80e automatic transmission. Plenty of options including: Power windows, locks, mirrors, push button 4x4, cd player, towing package, removable third row seating, and stainless wheels. Suburban overall still in good condition but I am going to try to be as accurate as possible in description of work needed Suburban is in Good shape overall but will need a few things fixed. Body Red exterior still in nice shape overall but running boards were taken off and revealed that both side rear rocker panels under rear doors will need to be replaced because of rust. Passenger side also will need the corner of the rocker where it meets the rear wheel well replaced. Also the drivers side mirror that folds in has broke, the glass is fine. The drivers side window motor has stopped working and will need to be replaced. There is also a dent in the rear passenger lower door, and a 2 inch scrape on rear barn door. Chrome bumpers are both in nice shape with no rust through. The frame is solid with no rot. The rest of the Fire engine red paint is in nice shape and still shines good. Mechanical 6.0L engine starts up and runs good with no engine lights present. On cold start the exhaust manifold gaskets will tick until up to full operating temperature - a common problem on the 6.0L. It also looks like someone tried to use some sort of muffler cement on the passenger side header to quiet it down but didn't work. At around 45-50mph there is a vibration in the driveline, the best way I can explain it is if you have your foot on the gas it will feel like driving over a rumble strip on the highway until u let off the gas. After driving for about 30-45 minutes the problem seems to go almost away.I was told it could be something with either : tranny, driveshaft, or rear end. I did not probe into the problem further. I had the tranny pan dropped and fluid changed and there was no metal shavings present. Transmission shifts fine with no slip. The 6.0L engine runs strong and has plenty of power. Truck has had recent brand new rear brakes - pads, calipers and rotors. Tires are in decent shape, but will probably have to be replaced in the next year or so. This is the best description I can give of the issues present and I am not a mechanic. If you want to check the Suburban out before the auction ends, I am fine with that and available most days.
