Vehicle Detail

This van has been relisted due to a non-paying bidder who won the previous auction. I have owned this van since 1994 and it has been driven back and forth to Cabo San Lucas, Mex several times (2500 miles round trip). The van was originally green and white, but was later painted yellow as a base coat and then hand painted last Spring by the "Art Kids of San Diego". Since then it appeared on KUSI TV twice, attended several car shows, was featured in a full page article in San Diego Better Homes & Gardens magazine, and spent the last 4 months on exhibit at the San Diego Automotive Museum. The motor and gearing are adequate to go with the flow of traffic on CA freeways. Features:Spare tire & custom painted cover, headlight screens, AM/FM/CD/MP3 player with remote, catalytic camping heater, sink with city water & onboard tank. Extension cord hook up outlet for power, 110 outlets within, manual & pump faucets, grey water tank, removable coffee cup holder, flexible map light, catalytic camping heater, 12 volt fridge, under seat porta potti toilet, camping stove with fold away table. Built in propane tank, extension hose and propane lanterns. fire extinguisher, 12 volt battery condition gauge, 12 volt accessory power supply, 1500 watt inverter (to provide 110 volts for charging laptops, running blenders or power tools). Battery switch to determine start or house power to go to inverter. Paper towel holder, 12 volt reading lamps, Pop top cushions sleep 2 above. 2 sleep on first level as well. The original equipment wall tent that mounts to the side of the van sleeps another 4 people. The upholstery is thick, comfortable & virtually like new with no rips, stains, or wear spots. Privacy curtains wrap around the entire inside of the van including windshield. Opening side windows with insect screens. Removable dining table & pedestal. Plenty of storage within cabinets for food, utensils etc. Mechanicals: 2.0 liter rebuilt motor with all German parts. Trans & shifter work well. Front brakes, battery and fuel injection air/fuel mixture box recently replaced. (2011) Goodyear 6 ply tires with plenty of tread. Muffler replaced (2011). Suspension adjusted for off road clearances. New CV boots (2010). House & starting batteries. Art: The Art Kids of San Diego painted the van with over 100 icons and portraits from the 60's in acrylic paint with a clear sealer over top. The work took over 100 man hours. I will leave it up to the photos to best describe the artwork and condition of the van. This bus is more than a vehicle, it is a small second home and mobile as well. Don't bid on this bus if you don't want smiles from everyone who sees it. And please, don't bid on this unique item if you have no intention of purchasing it. I reserve the right to end the auction early as this van is also advertised locally. Please e-mail with any questions. This vehicle runs well and has no known malfunctions (except for the gas gauge that stopped working recently).
