Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1994 Jeep Renegade. The brilliant high metallic flake blue color makes the kids call it the Beast, because it's the same color of the Xmen (Beast) character. The Jeep is a great looking vehicle, with a good running six cylinder motor, 33" tires, a 6" lift. I traded for this and just have no use for it, as we have now elected to move. I also have a 1978 Corvette to play with so I'm cutting down to just one toy. The Jeep has had thousands of dollars worth of work done to it. The outside and inside painted. The inside looks to be more of a smooth rhino coat. The seats have covers brand new covers, and the under seats are still decent. The rims, the tires, brush guard, and the lift make this thing really stand above the rest in looks and height, and if you're as old as we are, you'll need a step to get your foot inside the door. All the lights work, signals etc... It doesn't smoke or leak at all, and shifts through the gears fine. it's a very clean vehicle... Now, it isn't a show vehicle, and some things will need to be addressed, so let's get to the breakdown. The Good: Great paint...very sharp and certainly not a 94 Jeep blue this is a custom job. Its high flake content shines and draws a lot of attention. Great seat covers that match the exterior paint and the steering wheel cover. Pretty decent stereo system, but the amp was taken out, so you have some room to grow, but sounds decent. MP3, CD, IPOD... etc. The Tires are in really good shape with a new spare. The top is in good shape, great roll bar, and gorilla grips to get in/out. Good interior paint coating done. All guages work except the speedometer, of which I'm still looking at. The shift light still works when running through the gears. Clean motor, no leaks, and lots of new work done underneath for the lift. The person I bought this from spent a great deal of money, thousands in cash or labor getting it this far, and it will make a great toy or ride for anyone. I've not seen any rust at all on the cab of the jeep, and no soft spots.. so it's not been torn up, and is in fantastic shape as far as that goes. It's been garaged.. The Bad: The steering is a little loose, this could be to the big tires, or work done to raise it, I'm just not sure. To a Jeep owner, it maybe not so bad, but it needs to be tightened up, or corrected, I have no idea, and i'm not a mechanic. It may be easily repaired, I'm just not sure. There are two drive shafts/axles to these things; of which one has been a new fresh rebuild and not put back into the jeep yet, but it will go with the jeep. The jeep does run and drive, but is currently a two wheel drive until you put this second shaft back in. Please ask any questions before you bid. Other than that I'm not sure of any problems. The is a slight ticking sound, not always, at times when you are backing up, not sure if something is rubbing under the carraige, or where it's coming from. Again, doesn't happen all the time, but trying disclose all I know about it. I know it will run and drive, but must insist that you trailer it to where you can get it working right first. I did drive it about 30 miles the at the first of the month, and start and drive it daily around our farm, just to keep it running, etc... it's garage kept also... ALSO.. the pics of the front driver's side, shows a missing hub cap, of which I have, and there is a backseat of which I have that goes with the Jeep.. Please ask any questions and I'll try to get back to you asap. It's a great vehicle, but just something I don't need, and too tall for me. If I was 20 years younger... well, it would be finding a mechanic and taking me to the coast. I'll run this as a NO RESERVE auction, so your bid counts, but it's not a come and peak, it's a come and buy... so please have the money and deposits with me are non-refundable.Yet, I've never had to do that, so feel free to bid...you're getting a jeep that after it's corrected, will bring way more than I'm asking.. Jeep enthusiasts love this monsters.
