Vehicle Detail

1969 Triumph TR6. This car is rock solid. Drivers floor and trunk floor have surface rust as well as the underneath. But any restorer would be excited about the lack of undercoating on the underside. What an awesome opportunity to get a solid body for the car you are restoring, or restore this one. The good: It starts and runs. 50 PSI oil pressure. Carbs have an issue. It's hard to get it to stay running, but it will get on your trailer under its own powerClutch worksBrakes work, but drag a little bitSeats are awesome, not show, but in really good conditionTop is good. Back window is clear. One 1" tear in the top that can easily be repaired, but this is a top down cruiser, right. It did have rust in the rear fenders. I cut it out and welded in new metal, as seen on the photos. Needs a skim of filler and smoothing.Exhaust is goodOriginal paint in the engine compartment and trunk. The bad: This thing needs to be restoredIt desperately needs a paint job. paint is cracking and flakingThe windshield is crackedThe water pump leaksThe fuel pump leaksThe water hoses leakIt needs tiresEverything else that is obvious by the photos again, this is a rock solid project car. There is more good and more bad. Have a question, ask it. What to come out and see it before you bid, come on. I'll try to add pictures of the top in the next day or two I prefer cash and carry Ok, I added pics of the top today. Also some diagnostics this morning revealed that the cutting off is not a fuel issue, but rather a bad ignition switch (Carbs are fine). So you just need to find the sweet spot with the key or it cuts off. Again, great for moving around the driveway or shop, but it's a project.
