Beautiful 1971 Honda SL350 K1. The SL350-K1 was completely re-designed by Honda that model year and is much lighter, slimmer, and much better looking than the previous year (in my opinion). I recently finished the restoration of this bike and thought I would keep it for many years, but I have acquired other projects and need the room. I have too many vintage bikes as well, so this one needs to go to a good home. All the chrome parts have been re-chromed (except for the kick starter), including the original rims, handlebars (they are straight), tail light bracket, front brake linkage parts, front brake stay arm, and header flanges. All the body parts have been professionally re-painted candy orange (one of the colors offered that year - true base coat, tinted clear, clear system)). The graphics have been cleared over. The frame has been powder coated then repainted for an exact color match. All the bare aluminum has been re-finished/polished and clear coated. New spokes were used when building the wheels. New trials pattern tires installed. Every bolt is either a re-finished original item or new OEM Honda item. Most of the rubber grommets are new. The air filter foam elements are new. The rubber carburetor boots are new. The handgrips are new. The bike is mechanically sound. It starts first or second kick, and runs great. It does not smoke. It has no oil leaks. The transmission shifts fine. All the lights and brake lights work. The instruments are original to this bike. I believe the mileage is accurate (9900+ miles). I have a clear Florida title in the previous owner’s name. I never transferred the title since it has either been sitting or has been in restoration since I bought it several years ago. The exhaust system is original and the mufflers have some dents – they are not perfect. The mufflers do not have rust holes. The bike is missing the horn button (the button is unique to this year/bike). I was unable to locate a good horn button; I have a pull-wire installed just in case I located one. The original tool box is installed and has the cap (rare). The original cables show their age but all are there and working – very hard to locate new old stock grey cables. The rear brake cable sheath is in great condition (usually badly cracked). The bike is kept in climate controlled storage. Photos were taken this week. Overall the bike is in great shape as shown in the pictures. I have tried to be as descriptive as possible so there are no surprises. Please submit any questions you might have. I have used U-ship several times with good results. I suggest you obtain an estimate from them if you do not live close enough to pick up the bike yourself. GOOD LUCK, BID OFTEN, BID HIGH– these bikes are becoming increasingly very difficult to find in this condition anymore and will only increase in value. Payment and Pick up: At the auction end if you are high bidder and my reserve is met, please provide a $200 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours. If for any reason you do not want the bike, the deposit will be forfeit. I will not release the bike until the payment clears. Cash final payment is preferred; however I will accept a bank check/cashiers check. Checks require a 10 business day waiting period in order to clear my bank prior to pickup by you or the shipper. I will not accept balance due via Paypal. Pickup must be at my residence. The bike must be picked up within 15 days of auction close. I will not release the bike until the payment clears.
