This rare "blue on blue" (149 produced and only in '93) analog dash Allante with chrome wheels is in excellent condition. It was the last year of manufacture and the only year it was powered by the 295hp Northstar engine which has been the mainstay Cadillac V-8 for the last 15 years.The exhaust note has a throaty rumble - not unlike a Corvette. In production from 1987 through 1993, only 21,430 were made. The aluminum bodies were built in Italy by Pin Farina and air freighted to Detroit where the motor and drive train was installed. Almost all engine, mechanical and suspension parts are readily available since they are shared with other Cadillac and GM lines. The car was originally purchased in June 1993 from a Cadillac dealer in Clermont, Carlifornia and first registered in Tucson, Arizona. In Feb 1997, the car was sold to the owner of Barrett Cadillac of Youngstown, Ohio and remained in his ownership until March 2007 at which time it was purchased by a Michigan investor. I bought the car in September 2007 with 29,019 miles on the odometer and had it freighted to my home in North Carolina. The ownership history is documented to include the factory window sticker. This is a very comfortable driving car and fast with lots of high end torque when punched at road speed. Engine and transmission are leak free, battery is 2008 vintage, matching Bridgestone P225-60 H16 tires and updated a/c R134a refrgerant. Everything works perfectly except the CD player which is temperamental and probably needs a cleaning. The leak free top shows almost no wear, fading or weathering. It has a custom made taneau cover of unknown origin and the chrome grill is painted body color. The roof is water tight with no damage of any kind. Roof is raised and lowered manually with pulldown motors that are all fully functional. Excepting the CD player noted above, all electronics are fully functional. There is no evidence of body damage or repair although there are three or four of minor body dings that are candidates for "paintless" repair and three small parking lot chips on passenger door. There are no breaks or cracks in the on ABS/plastic fittings but the right door mirror cover is scuffed and the front air dam spoiler shows parking curb scrapes. All rubber seals are in good condition - no cracks or chips in glass or lenses. The is some staining in the rear corner of the trunk carpet from a cola spill long since. The carpet was removed and clearned but traces of the stain remain. The leather seats are clean and supple - no rips, tears,discoloration or abrasion. The majority of Allantes are headed for or already in the junk yeard with very few low mileage cars remaining. This is a good, well kept and straight "keeper" with a known lineage. Sale includes owner's manual, three sets of keys (one gold plated), shop manual, taneau cover, after market cup holder, dust cover and documentation of prior ownership.
