1956 Cadillac Convertible, 62 Series A beautiful 1956 Cadillac, 62 Series Convertible. The overall presentation is a casual car show at this time great for top down fair weather drives. The exterior is Red enhanced with a gold finish grill and narrow chrome trim moldings accentuated with nine vertical louvers on the rear fenders, typical of the 62 Series. The convertible top is white, and the period correct wide white walls with the original Cadillac wheel covers add the finishing touches to the exterior. The chrome is in fair condition with some being newly re-chromed or excellent condition and some still needing restoration due to typical aging. The interior is Red with White trim and shows minimal wear. The carpet is brand new. This Cadillac has power windows, power seat and brakes. 3 speed automatic transmission. The top is in good condition. Clear title and have receipts, car history and details. NOS replacement steering wheel alone was $1,100 restoration piece. This Convertible Cadillac is great for driving enjoyment, casual car shows as well as an investment of an American Classic. Runs and drives 65+ mph on freeway. Brakes work great. Please consider the following when bidding. This is a "driver" not a #1 mint show car. The steering has some play. May need the tie rod ends tightened, adjusted or replaced. Has small tranny leak in which I have the seals for. Drivers side glass is cracked though runs up and down and closes, keeps the wind and weather out, $300 fix. I may have the glass fixed prior to the auction close but figure your bid price accordingly if it is not done at auction close. The window switch on the drivers side needs to be replaced. It does work but acts it's age, 46 yrs old. Gas gauge does work but previous owner was working on dashboard section. It needs to be re-connected. If your personal inspection is not possible, you can chose a local independent service center and will make arrangements to deliver the vehicle to them for this purpose within 20 miles of my residence.
