Vehicle Detail

We bought this beautiful Suzuki Samurai in July, 2008 for back country exploration in our retirement. We bought it from the 2nd California Owner who kept it garaged, as had the original Owner! He had bought it from the original California Owner, so we are #3. The second Owner gave the vehicle new larger shock absorbers, a new & bigger steering damper, a 3" lift for more off-road clearance, put on oversize tires (knobby 235 versus original 205 size), replaced the catalytic converter and had it tuned to pass California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements, which it did. That 2008 certificate is included. I am 100% confident it will pass any emission testing anywhere in the US, based on it passing CARB! That 2nd Owner also replaced the old radio with a really nice Sony CD Player. I added a nice Kenwood amp, so it has a superb sound system! Otherwise, this Sammy is factory-equipped, right down to the full-function factory AC!! There even is a can of R-12 included for the future time when the Sammy needs a recharge!! The second Owner told us that the Original Owner had bought it to tow behind his Motorhome and provided the Blue Ox Tow Bar (not pictured but is included). When we bought this vehicle in Los Angeles, we simply put on the tow bar, plugged in the wiring and towed it home behind our 4Runner! It has very few scratches or damage: a small dent in the hood from the tow bar bumping it, a scratch on the passenger side and a few small rock chips, as shown. This vehicle is 100% functional: Every light bulb, every control, all of which reflect well on the two previous Owners who did not abuse this cute little Sammy! We also keep it garaged. We had the driver seat cover replaced to match the others, which are original. It has the optional folding rear seat unit. The rear seat belt ends had failed and were unavailable from Suzuki, so I replaced them with strong, attractive Chevrolet units, as pictured. They function perfectly! The top was replaced by the second Owner and is essentially new! We did NOT have to replace the carpets, door panels or much of anything else because it is just that nice! It even has the original tool kit, and jack in the correct places. Oh, I also just replaced the 11-year old Diehard Battery with a brand-new Diehard! As part of my service of the unit, I had the Timing Belt, Drive Belt & Water Pump all replaced just after we brought it home. As you can see, under the hood is unmolested! It starts & runs exactly as designed. One note: the engine does have a very small oil leak which will drip one or two drops after a long drive. It appears to be a dry seal, caused by inactivity. We have found that we are not using it very often, so it needs a new Owner. We have only put a few hundred miles on it since 2008. Since we are in the desert, you will notice some fine dust in several pictures. This Sammy was built for the back country anyway, and it functions admirably! With the manual hubs, the Driver controls when they are engaged, not a computer. We have explored the upper reaches of the Santa Rita Mountains & the Huachuca Mountains and this Sammy is AWESOME! Never any problems! It takes you there & brings you home. Any potential Buyer is welcome to come & check this Sammy out! It takes to the back country like a duck takes to water. With its' short length and high clearance, ample skid plates, it will go most anywhere a "normal mortal" might wish to go. We have set the reserve to cover our basic cost, but their is a lot of TLC that all three Owners have put into it to keep it close to "factory-fresh"!! We require a $300 Deposit paid through PayPal for the Successful Bidder or Buy It Now Buyer, with balance in cash (preferred) or Bank Money Order in person. PayPal fees are just too high for us to receive payment that way. We are happy to discuss delivery options anytime, so please ask Any questions? Need special pictures? Just ask>>I'll do it! This pristine Samurai needs a new Owner who will cherish what a prize it is! Thank you & bid with confidence, based on my 660 plus all-positive Feedback.
