Vehicle Detail
I have a 1992 Mustang LX 5.0 5speed for sale. The car was originally a 4cyl LX but the previous owner had swapped it to a 5.0 5 speed. The car runs and drives and can be driven, but it does need some work. I purchased it with plans to turn it into mostly a drag car, but finances and "life" have prevented this. I have dont absolutely NOTHING to it or with it other than bought a few parts (new Struts and a few other misc parts) that will come with it. I have only driven it 2 or 3 times. Again, it does need a little work that I know of and I will list everything that I know that it needs. It is mostly all stock as far as I know other than it does have: Aftermarket electric fan, new flowmasters on it and aftermarket gears (3:73's I think) with a VERY TIGHT posi. It spins posi EVERY time and even "feels" tight when turning really sharp turns. The wheels are Pony's that have been polished (and they did a really nice job on them!). As far as what it needs that I know of: The wind shield is cracked, both front door hinges have play. The doors open and shut just fine, but when they are open there is some "up and down" play in them. The transmission grinds when shifting unless you shift it really slow (it works fine, just grinds into gear, blocking rings need replaced). The front struts on the car now are SHOT. I have brand new ones that come with the car, but again, the ones on it now are bad. The exhaust leaks a little where they welded the mufflers on. The interior is really nice other than a little wear on the front drivers seat that you can see in the pictures and there is no radio in the car right now. The body/frame/floors are all very solid. I have had the car on a lift and it is solid (thats the main reason I bought it!!!)... I am going to TRY to get the struts on the car and the exhaust leaks repaired before the listing ends but I cannot guarantee or promis this. The struts are easy to replace and the exhaust leak is very minor also, so if I DONT get it done its really no big deal for you. The reserve ($2500) is way less than what I have in it total and I will not take any less. If it doesnt meet the reserve I will just let it set. Please ask any questions and you are more than welcome to come see the car in person before you bid. I am being as honest as I can about it but please ask any questions and come see it in person if you like. A deposit of $250 VIA PAY PAL IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HRS OF THE AUCTIONS END. I will accept Pay Pal for the deposit and CASH IN HAND ONLY for the balance. I can hold the car as long as you need AS LONG AS YOU WORK THIS OUT WITH ME BEFORE YOU BID ON IT!!!!!!!! DO NOT BID WITHOUT WORKING OUT DETAILS OF ME HOLDING THE CAR IF YOU WANT IT HELD AND YOU STILL MUST PAY THE $250 DEPOSIT IMMEDIATELY.On Jan-31-12 at 11:53:39 PST, seller added the following information: Ok, the new front struts are on and the exhaust has been repaired. It still needs the front end alignment set (from having the struts replaced), but at least that much is done. This is one heck of a deal for anyone interested in a Fox Body... I am losing money at anything less than about $3400 but it is what it is... Thanks
