Vehicle Detail
Classic 77 Camaro. 81xxx original miles on 305 2bbl automatic, A/C car. LT model. Everything original except shifter (previous owner put a B&M in) and there is no radio. Sounds great, runs great. 4 brand new tires, new fuel pump, new battery. I drive the car about once a week "around the block"- its a lot of fun! Some rust in both rear quarters (typical) Dent in LR quarter Needs radio & heater core (core leaked, so bypassed lines) Interior needs redone - headliner coming apart & rip in seat (not that bad for original interior actually). Floor & trunk very solid - especially for these Gen 2 camaros - not a whole lot of rust - this thing was garaged for the last 10 or so years according to the previous owner. If I sell it, great! If not, I am starting the resto process as my first car was a 76 LT that was almost identical to this one and this one can my son's first car when he hits 16! Not a race car - the 305 2bbl has plenty of power & with the dual exhaust, it sounds great, but this is the LT (Luxury Touring) model & it just humms along down the highway at 65-75 like it is a walk in the park! Does not pull or wander at all. Front disc brakes, rear drum. This is a 34 year old classic Camaro (made in June of 1977 in Van Nuys, CA). The value of the Gen 2 cars keeps climbing - especially for solid survivor cars like this one, which are getting harder and harder to find. If you are seriously interested (please lets not waste each other's time), feel free to email me. Thanks for looking! I just added a bunch of pics. The driver's side arm rest is in the car, but needs to be re-attached. The doors are so heavy and they are only held on with screws - just like my 76 - a very poor design. The mileage is actually lower than I stated (I thought it was 82xxx, but it is actually 81xxx). The VIN is correct, unfortunately, there is no Car Fax for cars older than 1981. Driving this thing is a blast down memory lane! I have had several offers of $1500 but am not willing to part with it for under $2000 - I'll just keep it and start working on it. The car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.
