Guess who's back, back again, tell a friend... Attention: Investors, Collectors and Buick Enthusiasts! ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL!!!!!! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE EVER LISTED THIS CAR FOR SALE Over the last 15 years I’ve seen thousands of classic cars and trucks at multiple major car shows and multiple major auction venues. I’ve also owned and sold over 100 classic cars and trucks. As my website indicates I’ve had some very special classic cars and trucks. THE 1951 BUICK SUPER RIVIERA COUPE YOU'RE ABOUT TO WITNESS IS A VERY RARE CAR AND ONE OF THE NICEST ORIGINAL CARS LEFT ON THE PLANET! 36,178 pampered original miles!!!!! Yes, 36,178 original miles!!!! THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN RESTORED! A TRUE SURVIVOR! This car was purchased in West Palm Beach, FL by R S Blessing. He was born on 01-23-1917! He owned the car for 34 years! It was sold to Lester Kotthaus on 11-23-1985. I have notarized copies of the original titles pictured below documenting this information. It’s believed the two were related. This car has spent its entire life in sunny Florida free of any sand, salt or cold conditions. It’s believed to only have had four owners over the last 61 years! I purchased it from an older gentleman in Florida. This car has been painted but other than that it’s very original. All the sheet metal, exterior chrome, interior, engine compartment, trunk compartment and undercarriage is original. Over the last few years the engine was tuned including a newly rebuilt carburetor. The exhaust manifold gasket was also replaced. The Cooker tires were just replaced less than a year ago. This 1951 Buick isn’t a high end show car but is in beautiful condition considering it’s mostly original. It runs and drives excellent! If you’ve been looking for a 1951 Buick Super Riviera Coupe this is the one. If you haven’t been looking for one but love this one I can assure you they're very rare. Go on the internet and try to find a few listed for sale. You might be looking for awhile. THE BUICK SUPER Quoted from General Motors: "BRILLANT IS THE WORD FOR BUICK- In beauty, power, performance, value" "Easy on the eye, and easy to buy-that’s the quick story of the high-styled, generously sized Super. With this dashing beauty, you get the truly thrilling performance of Buick’s brilliant F-263 Fireball engine and all the generous gas mileage of its valve in head high compression efficiency with 124 horsepower on Synchro Mesh models and 128 horsepower on Dynaflow Drive models ( at extra cost ). You get solid comfort of Buick’s all coil spring ride and the soft comfort of gently yielding seat cushions. You get richly fashioned interiors with new fabrics, fittings and finish of smart taste and impeccable quality. You get superb handling ease. Whatever your choice you’ll travel superbly well in the superlative Super" Keywords that describe this piece of American Automotive History: 1. All classic Buick’s are very collectable and make great investments. These cars were Americas answer to automotive luxury. They’re extremely beautiful and great cars to enjoy at car shows or just to take out for a ride. The saying, "They don’t build them like they use to" came from these cars! When you open the doors, stare at the interior, listen to the engine run or feel the car on the road you’ll understand. 2. This 1951 Buick Super Riviera has 38,000 original miles! I purchased it from an older gentleman in Inverness, FL. He owned the car for many years and enjoyed it. He drove it a few thousand miles to car shows, etc. When I first spoke to him about the car he bragged about how great she runs and drives. He said, "People surround the car at shows and absolutely love it". As the documents pictured below indicate this car spent its entire life in Florida where it was well taken care of. 3. The exterior color of Victoria Red Metallic shines beautifully. It’s complimented with a Sky Gray top and grayish interior. The 56R model was built to look like a convertible with the sedan comfort of a permanent steel roof. It’s racy lines, seats six in comfort and has almost as much visibility as the top down convertible. The beautifully body lines are truly stunning. I just had the entire car completely detailed from top to bottom and it looks GREAT! The paint shines really nice. The exterior chrome is original and is in really nice condition. * A complete inspection report is listed below. 4. It’s hard to believe this interior is 61 years old. Yes, 61 years old! It’s in amazing condition as the photos indicate. It’s a smart sight that greets your eyes and smart arrangements of easily reached controls that are set for your convenience. Note the pilot centered instruments the "white glow" dials that mean night reading clarity without glare, the convenient location and accessible controls of the rich toned Buick radio. It looks like a Juke Box. THIS CAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL GLOVE BOX STICKERS. See picture below. 5. The car mechanically is also amazing. It runs, steers and brakes excellent. The engine compartment is very detailed as the photos listed below indicate. The hood opens from either the driver or passenger side! The famous Fireball Engine starts and purrs like a kitten. These cars are started with the gas pedal! How cool is that. This engine has never been rebuilt and runs like the day it was new off the showroom floor. The gentleman I purchased the car from added an electric fuel pump that helps with cold starts. The switch is located under the dash. Once it’s started you no longer need to use the switch. Living in New England I wasn’t sure if it was going to act up with our cold temperatures and it didn’t. I’ve started and driven this car is 20 degree weather and she ran excellent. It cruises on the highway at speeds of 70 MPH with no problem. The transmission is very smooth and you barely feel the shifts. Buick advertised the transmission as "Luxurious" and "Smooth as Silk". 6. The trunk compartment is also original and in amazing condition. It opens and closes with ease. The trunk is high, wide and plenty deep. It was built to load the whole family’s luggage. 7. Buick invested millions of dollars in the engineering and development of the component parts for the rugged chassis to produce the most envied ride in the industry. You can see the result in the depth and heaviness of it. They had coil springs on all four wheels insuring constant levelness for an amazing ride. 8. Included with the sale of this car is the following: Notarized copies of original titles and paperwork Original owners manual Original keys 1952 Buick brochure Receipts from previous owners, etc. Introduction: Hello, I'm Marc Schiliro from MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name or website from other magnificent classic cars I've listed for sale nationally. I've been playing with classic cars as a hobby for over ten years now. I didn't expect things would grow into what they have so late last year I became an official Limited Liability Company. My official business name is MS CLASSIC CARS, LLC. Most of the cars I sell now are through Barrett Jackson. There's four Barrett Jackson actions a year so I keep very busy consigning anywhere from one to eight cars per auction. I've been very fortunate to have sold some cars in the top 25 highest sales priced vehicles. Over the years I've also featured classic cars at the Carlisle Expo and Atlantic City Auto Auctions. I've also had classic cars featured in many magazines and on multiple websites. I specialize in extremely detailed classic cars. I buy cars that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and also coordinate complete restorations from start to finish. Sometimes I get lucky and get a car that I do nothing to it. I strongly feel that my cars have the "POP" factor. I love what I do and I'm extremely passionate about it! I have a VIP EMAIL BLAST list that gets sent via email to thousands of people anytime I get a new addition. If you'd like to be added to that list please visit my contact page on my website. The power of networking is amazing! The Market: As I've mentioned above I've been playing with classic cars for over ten years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds it's own. I've sold classic cars in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated," Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions. At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "They had a registered bidder from every state in the USA." I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. This kind of changes the supply and demand theory. Unique cars that have been customized are on the rise. My 1957 Ford Fairlane I consigned to Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 would be a perfect example of that. Condition Report: As I’ve mentioned many times in this description this car is mostly original. Therefore it’s not a car that has been completely restored. If you’re looking for a flawless show car then this car isn’t for you. If you’re looking for an original car that presents its self beautifully then this is the car for you. Exterior: The entire exterior has been buffed to a mirror shine. When looking at the hood and trunk lid very closing in a certain light you can see little stress cracks in the clear coat. It's not a big deal but want people to understand it isn't flawless. The driver’s side rear quarter does have a small 2" scratch. It also has a couple of small clear coat bubbles in the paint. The chrome is really nice but original so there are small pits, etc. The bottoms of the bumpers are peeling slightly. The driver’s door glass has a small crack in it. The doors, hood and truck open and close excellent. Again folks, the car is original! Interior: The interior has been completely detailed. It’s in amazing condition for being original. However, there small flaws such as a few stains and a couple of small holes in the seats. The steering wheel, dash, gauges, etc are in really nice condition. The headlights work including high beams. The wipers, speedometer, oil gauge, temp gauge, amp gauge and gas gauge all work. I don’t think the gas gauge is accurate. All the windows roll up and down smoothly including the side vents. The heater knob spins and I’m not sure if the heater works. The clock doesn’t work. Conclusion: It’s not every day you come across a car like this. It’s got a lot of collectability based on everything listed above. If you’re in the market for something you just don’t see very often this car is for you. It’s an important piece of American Automobile history and will make a great investment. I’ll always remember this really cool car! The new owner will be proud to call it there’s.
