Vehicle Detail

1976 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 3.0 liter (Euro) VIN: 916600217; 113k miles. average mileage used for past 13 years, less than 2000 miles per year. This car is owned by PCA Mardi Gras Region Driving Instructor and is a street legal/DE car. It does not have air conditioning, does have a Sony Stereo and a sunroof. The car was originally red at one point and then shot black. To change the color to yellow, I had the doors, bumpers, glass, fenders, hoods removed from the car so that every space could be properly painted. The color is Ferrari Fly yellow, painted by B-Imports, Mandeville, LA. Ferrari Yellow, painted 2005; no a/c (Euro Specs); black interior. Never raced, street legal, current inspection. It does not have a rollcage in the car bbut does have a bolt-in roll bar in the back seat. This car needs nothing. It starts drives and runs very good. It has near perfect handling and drives absolutely flat on corrners and will not lean. Horsepower estimate at 265 hp. The seats are OMP fiberglass seats and are for a person about 180 lbs. The seats are adjustable (back and forth), but they are fixed otherwise. If for some reason you want the car, but without the seats, I would remove these seats and re-install the originals and those seatbelts. 1) 3.2 engine, front oil cooler. (see engine work below), New exhaust system with a pre ‘74 stainless steel heater box system with new two in-two out Dansk Muffler with twin outlets. 2) Rebuilt ‘84-'89 brake calipers (2011), stainless steel lines, replaced f. wheel bearings, ‘84-‘89 drilled rotors with new pads front and rear. 22mm Brake master cylinder. (this is a non-power assist car) 3) Major tune-up, including, adjusting valves, plugs and distributor cap with 7300 r.p.m. kill rotor, and Perma Tune coil-less CDI ignition system. 4)PMO 46mm IDA carbs, rebuilt 2011; 36mm venturis. 5) WEVO motor mounts-transmission mounts 6) New oil lines (6) from/to engine. 7) Super-blue plug wires. 8) Engine oil: Pro-long oil treatment. 9) New torsion bars, 21mm on front and 26 mm rear. 10) Adjustable Weltmeister spring plates on rear. 11) Rebuilt rear c/v joints axles; new boots. 12) Crane Fireball electronic ignition. 13) Replaced front and rear rubber suspension bushings with poly-bronze bushings, Elephant Racing. 14) New rear axle bearings. 15) New light weight clutch assembly. 16) Rebuilt transmission, MOTOR-MEISTER, California 2005 w/factory oil cooler. 17) Replaced rear and front hood shocks (dual on rear) 18) Front camber bar. 19) Adjustable rear sway and front sway bars (Smart Racing). Wevo rear sway bar mounts. 20)Turbo style tie rod ends and new ball joints. 21) Front Bilstein Sport struts /rear Koni Shocks. 22) New Windshield rubbers, front and rear. 23) 225x50vr16 rear Dunlop Direzza and 205x55vr16 front mounted and 16x7 and 16x8 Original Fuchs 24) Engine re-sealed 2010, new timing chains and tensioners installed, Greff Motors, New Orleans. 25) OMP Fiberglass seats, with RJS 5 point harness w/ quick release knob 26) Carrera tail, no tears, breaks. 27) H4 headlites, factory fog-lites. 28) Fresh air vents to front brake rotors. I have owned the car for 13 years and have done most all of this work myself. The car came with the 3.2 engine with CIS and I removed that system and put on the PMO carbs. NO electrical issues, brakes work very good and will not fade with hard use. The last picture you'll see is the reason for the sale. I finally got the 930 I wanted and between that car and LSU tuition for my oldest son, something has to go and my yellow 911 is the scapegoat. This has been garaged for the past 13 years and babied and well taken care of. This is a jewel! I have placed the reserve price at a reasonable number. As the car will need nothing when you buy it, you can be sure to bid whatever it takes to get it. I have placed thousands upon thousand of dollars into this car. I hope you enjoy. Any questions, please ask. Phillip On Jan-25-12 at 12:18:42 PST, seller added the following information: "Original " Momo steering wheel, seats, seat belts and back seats included. On Jan-29-12 at 07:28:36 PST, seller added the following information: Correct VIN # is 9116600217. I will be including the original seats, back seats, the steering wheel that came with the car, seat belts, and the 22mm (not 23mm) brake master cylinder. I installed a new 19mm brake m/c in January, 2012. These carbs have velocity stacks on them and they run very well at top speeds.
