Up for bids is this 1971 ford truck. It is a very restorable truck. These old original trucks are getting hard to find. It is overall a good body. It is a short wheel base. The bed is in good shape. Most of these rust out behind the cab but this one is still good. There is one rust hole in the bed. I have taken a pic of it. The rockers and door jam areas are in good shape. There is a little place at the bottom of the passenger fender that has a rusted place on it. There are some other small areas that will need minor work but no major rust out. It is not perfect but a good body to be 42 years old. I would also encourage anybody to come look at it if interested and can come look at it. I have the two original wheels that go on the back with the original hub caps. The glass is okay in it. It was originally a standard shift truck but has been converted over to a automatic at some point. I still have the original transmission and rear end that came out of it when it was a standard. The frame and main structure is in good shape. The truck has the complete drive train in it. The guy I got it from told me it was running and the fuel pump went out and he never fixed it. How true this is I honestly don't know. It was last inspected in 03 so it has not been off the road that long. The brakes still work on it. It has a 360 in it. The motor will turn over free by hand so it is not froze up. I think it wouldn't take much to get it running but like I said I really don't know. I have a clear title to it.
