THIS CAR WAS RECENTLY TRADED IN BY A LOCAL DOCTOR. IT HAS BEEN IN FLORIDA SINCE DAY ONE. IT HAS BEEN A DAILY DRIVER UNTIL NOW. ALL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS WERE DONE AT A LOCAL INDEPENDENT BMW SHOP, NOT A DEALER.
THE CAR IS SOLID AND CLEAN. FOR 20-YEAR OLD AUTOMOBILE IT HAS NICE STRAIGHT AND RUST FREE BODY AND VERY CLEAN INTERIOR. WITH SMALL EXCEPTIONS, ALL EQUIPMENT WORKS AS DESIGNED.
EXTERIOR IS STILL GLOSSY AND FREE OF MAJOR FLAWS. THE ONLY NOTICABLE IMPERFECTIONS ARE:
- SMALL DING ON DRIVER’S SIDE QUARTER PANEL (SEE PHOTO)
- FEW SCRATCHES ON THE REAR BUMPER (SEE PHOTO)
- TWO AREAS ON THE ROOF WHERE PAINT IS SLIGHTLY FADED (OUR DETAIL GUY SAYS MOST OF WILL CLEAN UP)
THE GLASS IS ALL ORIGINAL AND FREE OF CRACKS OR CHIPS. ALL RIMS ARE FREE OF SCUFFS OR CURB RUSH. NO RUST WHATSOEVER. NO INDICATIONS OR PRIOR ACCIDENTS OR COLLISION REPAIRS.
THE INTERIOR IS VERY CLEAN. SEATS SHOW VERY LITTLE WEAR, BUT NO HOLES OR CRACKS. ALL DOOR PANELS AND DASH ARE VERY CLEAN AND FLAWLESS. HEADLINER WAS REPLACED NOT LONG AGO BECAUSE IT WAS LOOSE.
MECHANICALLY THE CAR APEARS TO BE VERY SOLID. IT RUNS STRONG AND SMOOTH. THE ENGINE HAS GOOD POWER AND TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY. AC IS ICE COLD. ALL MAJOR POWER EQUIPMENT WORKS AS DESIGNED. BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF THE CAR WE DID NOT PERFORM ANY EXTENSIVE INSPECTIONS, BUT WE DROVE THE CAR FOR SEVERAL MILES AND WE DID SOME SAFETY RELATED SERVICING.

- INSTALLED BRAND NEW BILSTEIN FRONT STRUTS
- FLUSHED BRAKE SYSTEM
- REPLACED CABIN FILTERS
- REPLACED BOTH INTAKE TUBES
- REPLACED AUXILIARY WATER PUMP
- REPLACED ONE OF THE BATTERIES (CAR HAS 2)
WHAT IT NEEDS:
- BRAKES STICK AFTER EXTENSIVE DRIVING. BASED OF OUR MECHANIC AND RESEARCH IT MAY BE THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ($550 OUR COST). WE FLUSHED THE SYSTEM THINKING IT MAY FIX THE PROBLEM BUT IT DIDN’T.
- SEATS DO NOT MOVE IN SOME DIRECTIONS PROPERLY (COMMON PROBLEM ON OLDER BEEMERS, EASY CABLES FIX)
- RADIO KNOB IS MISSING.
OVERALL IT IS A NICE EXAMPLE OF A RARE BMW THAT NEEDS VERY LITTLE TO BE A SUPER NICE CAR.
