Vehicle Detail
*Because of time i needed to list the vehicle asap, tho i didn't realize how poorly the pictures had come out. will post new pictures soon, my work on the interior deserves better pictures for sure! although i think its raining 2mrw....* For sale we have a very solid 1996 Ford Explorer 2 door Sport 4x4. I love this car and for the record... I kinda hope it doesn't sell because I would love to have this car to come home to. I am leaving on a trip abroad on the 25th of Jan, however, and unfortunately could use the money for my trip. It is that blue/green teal-ish color that seems to be rare in 2dr sport models. I purchased the vehicle years ago to fix up a bit and sell for a profit. I ended up loving the car and sold to a close friend of mine. I told her when shes ready to sell it to please let me know because I would love to buy it back from her. She called me to say she was selling just 3 weeks ago. I have been driving it since then and have fallen back in love with it. I have been servicing this car for several years now and am glad to have it back in my hands. Its not aesthetically perfect inside or out but it is in pretty awesome shape in my opinion. There were many stains in the carpet, (mainly trunk). I rented a rug doctor and made several passes over the entire car and have it back to a respectable condition although with more time and a few more passes I think it could be even better. The only rust on the car is near the plastic rocker panel area in front of the rear wheels. I'm assuming this is common. Should be able to see in pictures. Also some paint is starting to chip above the windshield in the center. I didn't even notice until the other day. Here's an incomplete list of recent work done of the top of my head: 4x4 unit/transfer case was rebuilt (20k ago) 6 months ago: complete tune-up performed Rear wheel seals replaced Rear gear oil serviced with synthetic fluid Rear parking brakes shoes changed Rear Pads and Rotors replaced Last Week: Front shocks replaced Drivers Front upper ball joint/control arm replaced Passenger Front ball joint replaced Synthetic oil change performed Heather Control Valve replaced Right Rear suspension spring shackle replaced Car runs and shifts great and now has a decent ride as well. Aesthetically not to impressive. The body is solid, paint is dulled in some areas and minor dings and scratches throughout. I paid very little attention to exterior of the vehicle. Must have swapped some paint with something and there was a large white line on pass front quarter that I compounded right out. Otherwise I just ran her on through a $10 car wash. I think it will look remarkably different with a quick buff. Spare and jack tools are not all present. Truck does have a spare up underneath in decent shape. The current front tires have 60+ tread and the rears, 40 at minimum. The truck has an aftermarket Sony head unit with head phone jack input in the face of the unit. Also available is another aftermarket head unit with the proper conversion plugs that should fit this car as well as a kicker box and amp. I also have a 92 Mercury Sable GS for sale as well. Please check out my other auctions. Thanks for your time and consideration. Happy Bidding!!
